rākpradhvaṁsasadātvēna trividhōbhāva iṣyatē । cētanācētanatvēna bhāvōpi dvividhō mataḥ ॥2॥
[rākpradhvaṁsasadātvēna = prior, after destruction, and continued; trividhōbhāva = three type is the deficient; iṣyatē = perceived;। cētanācētanatvēna = conscious, without consciousness; bhāvōpi = even existence; dvividhō = twofold; mataḥ = is the opinion;]
Three types are the deficient: prior to destruction, after destruction and those who continue. It is opined that the sufficient (bhāvaḥ) is of two types: conscious (living, chētana) and without consciousness (insentient, achētana).
