Madhvāchārya wrote commentaries on prasthāna traya (Bhagavad Gita, Upanishads, & Brahma Sutra) to establish his tatva-vāda (dvaita) philosophy. Subsequently, he offered his interpretations on Rig Vēda, Mahābhārata, and Bhāgavata. He also wrote individual pieces on tantra, sānkhya, nyāya, and other topics. Together they are given the name Sarvamoola.

Gīta Bhāshya - establishes the doctrine of 'tatvavada'. As a pre-requisite, the context of commentaries from the previous Āchārya's is required.
Gīta Tātparya - is the purport of Gita and can be studied without depending on commentaries of the previous Āchārya's.
Gīta Prasthāna - provides reference to both Bhāshya and Tātparya together for for a given verse, for convenience.
बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
