Taittirīyopaniṣat Bhāṣyam (तैत्तिरीयोपनिषत् भाष्यम्)
Taittirīyopaniṣat 01.21
सत्यमिति सत्यवचा राथीतरः। तप इति तपोनित्यः पौरुशिष्टिः। स्वाध्यायप्रवचने एवेति नाको मौद्गल्यः। तद्धि तपस्तद्धि तपः ॥२१॥
Satyavacā Rāthītaraḥ, one who always speaks truth, said, "satyam", i.e. "truth". Taponityaḥ Pauruśiṣṭiḥ, one who is always engaged in austerity, said, "tapah", i.e. "austerity". Nāka Maudgalyaḥ said, "study and imparting knowledge alone". That indeed is austerity, that indeed is austerity.
Taittirīya Bhāshya 01.21
Truthfulness, self-study, imparting knowledge, and chanting of Vedic hymns - all are austerities. But he who, having thoroughly understood Lord Viṣṇu, explains and repeatedly remembers him, gets liberated. For him, nothing remains to be done.
"सत्ये तपसि वा चीर्णे सर्वकर्म कृतं भवेत्। स्वाध्याये च प्रवचने ह्यन्तर्भावो विशेषतः॥"
"When truth and austerity are practiced, all actions are considered accomplished. Especially when it includes self-study and imparting knowledge."
इति च॥
- stated thus as well.
"यं यं क्रतुमधीते तेन तेनास्येष्टं भवति।"
"Whatever sacrifice one studies, that very thing becomes desired for him."
इति च श्रुतिः।
- stated thus by a Vedic statement.
"जप्येनैव तु संसिद्ध्येत् ब्राह्मणो नात्रसंशयः। कुर्यादन्यन्न वा कुर्यात् मैत्रो ब्राह्मण उच्यते॥"
"A brāhmaṇa attains perfection solely through repeated chanting (of mantras), there is no doubt about this. Whether he performs other actions or not, he is still called a compassionate brāhmaṇa."
इति भारते॥
- stated thus, in the Mahabhārata.
"सम्यग् ज्ञात्वा तु यो विष्णुं व्याख्यायीत जपेत च। न तस्य किंङ्चिदकृतं कर्तव्यं मुच्यते च सः॥"
"But he who, having thoroughly understood Lord Viṣṇu, explains and repeatedly remembers, for him nothing remains to be done; he is liberated."
इति कर्मतत्त्वे।
- stated thus in Karmatatva (the principle of action) text.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
