Māndukya 2.05
dvaitasyāgrahaṇaṃ tulyamubhayoḥ prājñaturyayoḥ। bījanidrāyutaḥ prājñaḥ sā ca turye na vidyate ॥5॥
[द्वैतस्य (dvaitasya) - of duality; अग्रहणं (agrahaṇaṃ) - non-acceptance; तुल्यम् (tulyam) - equal; उभयोः (ubhayoḥ) - of both; प्राज्ञ (prājña) - the wise; तुर्ययोः (turyayoḥ) - of the fourth state; बीज (bīja) - seed; निद्रा (nidrā) - sleep; आयुतः (āyutaḥ) - associated with; प्राज्ञः (prājñaḥ) - the wise; सा (sā) - that; च (ca) - and; तुर्ये (turye) - in the fourth state; न (na) - not; विद्यते (vidyate) - exists;]
In both the 'Prājña' and 'Turya' i.e. the fourth state, there is an equal non-acceptance of duality. The 'Prājña' is associated with the state of seed-sleep, but this deep-sleep does not exist in the fourth state.
Bhāshya 2.05
The state of deep-sleep and the fourth are contrasted by one having seed-sleep and the other being all-seeing, though both experience the effect of not perceiving the duality. The contrast is because, seed of grasping duality is present in the deep sleep of the 'Prajna' state.
"निद्रायुतास्तु विश्वाद्यास्तदधीना यतो हि सा। यथा भृत्ययुतः स्वामी न ह्यज्ञानं परात्मनः॥"
nidrāyutāstu viśvādyāstadadhīnā yato hi sā। yathā bhṛtyayutaḥ svāmī na hyajñānaṃ parātmanaḥ॥
[निद्रायुताः (nidrāyutāḥ) - sleep-afflicted; तु (tu) - but; विश्वाद्याः (viśvādyāḥ) - all beings; तत् (tat) - that; अधीना (adhīnā) - dependent; यतः (yataḥ) - because; हि (hi) - indeed; सा (sā) - she; यथा (yathā) - as; भृत्ययुतः (bhṛtyayutaḥ) - servant-afflicted; स्वामी (svāmī) - master; न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; अज्ञानं (ajñānaṃ) - ignorance; परात्मनः (parātmanaḥ) - of the Supreme Ātmān;]
"All beings are subject to sleep and are dependent on her, for just as a master is not afflicted by his servants, there is no ignorance of the Supreme Ātmān."

"अभेदमपि तद्ब्रह्म बहुरूपं विशेषतः। करोति न करोतीति व्यवहार्यं स्वशक्तितः॥"
"abhedam api tad brahma bahurūpaṃ viśeṣataḥ। karoti na karotīti vyavahāryaṃ svaśaktitaḥ॥"
[अभेदम् (abhedam) - undivided; अपि (api) - even; तत् (tad) - that; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; बहुरूपम् (bahurūpam) - multiform; विशेषतः (viśeṣataḥ) - especially; करोति (karoti) - does; न (na) - not; करोति (karoti) - does; इति (iti) - thus; व्यवहार्यम् (vyavahāryam) - pragmatic; स्वशक्तितः (svaśaktitaḥ) - by its own power;]
"Even though Brahman is inherently undivided, it manifests in multiple forms, acting and not acting, pragmatically through its own power."

na saṁvedayatīti asvīkāre। "turyaṁ tat sarvadṛk sadā dvaitasyāgrahaṇaṁ tulyamubhayoḥ prājñaturyayoḥ" iti ca viruddham। dvaitagrahaṇākāraṇatvaṁ tulyamityarthaḥ।
[न (na) - not; संवेदयतीति (saṁvedayatīti) - perceives; अस्वीकारे (asvīkāre) - in rejection; तुर्यम् (turyam) - the fourth; तत् (tat) - that; सर्वदृक् (sarvadṛk) - all-seeing; सदा (sadā) - always; द्वैतस्य (dvaitasya) - of duality; अग्रहणम् (agrahaṇam) - non-acceptance; तुल्यम् (tulyam) - equal; उभयोः (ubhayoḥ) - of both; प्राज्ञतुर्ययोः (prājñaturyayoḥ) - of the wise and the fourth; इति (iti) - thus; च (ca) - and; विरुद्धम् (viruddham) - contradictory; द्वैतग्रहणाकारणत्वम् (dvaitagrahaṇākāraṇatvam) - the reason for accepting duality; तुल्यम् (tulyam) - equal; इत्यर्थः (ityarthaḥ) - this is the meaning;]
The term 'na saṁvedayatī' i.e 'Not perceiving', indicates not-acceptance, (of the duality in a deep state without seeing). The statement "The fourth state, which is all-seeing, always involves non-acceptance of duality" is in contrast (as this state is all-seeing). The effect of not accepting duality is considered similar (in both the states).
"द्वैतं न ग्राहयेत् तुर्यो न च प्राज्ञः कथञ्चन। द्वैतग्रहणबीजं तु निद्रा प्राज्ञं समाश्रिता॥"
"dvaitaṁ na grāhayet turyo na ca prājñaḥ kathañcana। dvaitagrahaṇabījaṁ tu nidrā prājñaṁ samāśritā॥"
[द्वैतं (dvaitaṁ) - duality; न (na) - not; ग्राहयेत् (grāhayet) - should make understand; तुर्यः (turyaḥ) - the fourth; न (na) - not; च (ca) - and; प्राज्ञः (prājñaḥ) - wise one / deep sleep state; कथञ्चन (kathañcana) - in any way; द्वैतग्रहणबीजं (dvaitagrahaṇabījaṁ) - seed of grasping duality; तु (tu) - but; निद्रा (nidrā) - sleep; प्राज्ञं (prājñaṁ) - wise one; समाश्रिता (samāśritā) - resides;]
"In both the deep-sleep and the fourth state, one is made not to understand duality. However, the seed of grasping duality is present in the wise one's deep sleep."
iti prakaṭaśrutiḥ।
[इति (iti) - thus; प्रकट (prakaṭa) - manifest; श्रुतिः (śrutiḥ) - hearing;]
- stated thus is the Vedic testimonial, named Prakaṭa.
