Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 12.02
śrī-bhagavān uvāca
The Auspicious Lord said:
mayy āveśya mano ye māṁ nitya-yuktā upāsate। śraddhayā parayopetās te me yuktatamā matāḥ॥2॥
Those who, having fixed their mind on Me, worship Me ever steadfast and endowed with supreme faith — they are considered by Me the most devoted and accomplished.
Gīta Tātparya 12.02
The devotee should always meditate upon Śrī as supreme, and Her lord as the Supreme Person. Pleased by that, she may grant flawless worship of lord Viṣṇu. Those who worship Śrī separately suffer more, as she will not be pleased with it. The word 'yuktatamāḥ' in the context implies the most accomplished aspirants.
"aviṣṇujñair atadbhaktaiḥ tad-upāsā-vivarjitaiḥ। śaped upāsitā api eṣā śrīḥ tān tat-hari-tattva-vit॥
"This Śrī, even when worshipped, curses those who are ignorant of Viṣṇu, not His devotees, and devoid of His worship — thus says one who knows the truth of Hari.
tadbhaktaḥ tam upāsyaiva śriyaṁ dhyāyīta nityadā। tena tuṣṭā tu sā acchidraṁ dadyāt viṣṇoḥ upāsanam॥
His devotee should always meditate upon Śrī only after worshipping Him. If pleased by that, she may grant a flawless worship of Viṣṇu.
tatas tad-darśanāt muktiṁ yāty asau na atra saṁśayaḥ। tathā api sarva-paramāṁ sarva-doṣa-vivarjitām॥
Then, by seeing Him, he attains liberation — there is no doubt. Still, she (Śrī) is supreme above all and devoid of every defect.
jñātvā śriyaṁ tat-paramaṁ tat-patiṁ puruṣottamam। vijñāya upāsate nityaṁ te hi yuktatamā matāḥ॥
Those who have known Śrī as supreme, and Her lord as the Supreme Person, and worship constantly with understanding — they are indeed considered most properly devoted.
yataḥ kleśo'adhikaḥ teṣāṁ pṛthak śriyam upāsatām। viṣṇunā sahitā dhyātā sā hi tuṣṭiṁ parāṁ vrajet॥
Because those who worship Śrī separately suffer more; meditated together with Viṣṇu, she indeed attains supreme satisfaction.
anyathā tu punar viṣṇoḥ śrī-patitvena cintanam। acchidram eva kartavyam iti muktiḥ cirāt bhavet। tasmāt akleśataḥ muktiḥ kṣipraṁ viṣṇum upāsatām॥"
Otherwise, one must contemplate Viṣṇu as the consort of Śrī without flaw; only then may liberation occur, though delayed. Therefore, those who worship Viṣṇu attain liberation quickly and without suffering."
iti parama-śrutiḥ॥
- stated thus in Parama-śruti.
yuktatamāḥ sādhakatamāḥ॥2॥
The word 'yuktatamāḥ' in the context implies the most accomplished aspirants.
