Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 8.05
अन्तकाले च मामेव स्मरन् मुक्त्वा कलेवरम्। यः प्रयाति स मद्भावं याति नास्त्यत्र संशयः ॥५॥
antakāle ca māmeva smaran muktvā kalevaram। yaḥ prayāti sa madbhāvaṁ yāti nāstyatra saṁśayaḥ ॥5॥
[अन्तकाले (antakāle) - at the time of death; च (ca) - and; मामेव (māmeva) - me alone; स्मरन् (smaran) - remembering; मुक्त्वा (muktvā) - becoming free; कलेवरम् (kalevaram) - the body; यः (yaḥ) - whoever; प्रयाति (prayāti) - departs; स (saḥ) - he; मद्भावम् (madbhāvam) - my state, i.e. divine existence in Me; याति (yāti) - attains; नास्त्यत्र (nāstyatra) - there is no; संशयः (saṁśayaḥ) - doubt;]
Whoever, at the time of death, remembering Me alone, becomes free from this body, attains divine existence in Me. Of this, there is no doubt.
Gīta Bhāshya 8.05
Attaining 'madbhāvaṁ', means attaining permanent existence in the Lord.
मद्भावं मयि सत्ताम्। निर्दुःखनिरतिशयानन्दात्मिकाम्। तच्चोक्तम्-
madbhāvaṁ mayi sattām। nirduḥkhaniratiśayānandātmikām। taccoktam-
[मद्भावं (madbhāvam) - my state; मयि (mayi) - in me; सत्ताम् (sattām) - existence; निर्दुःखनिरतिशयानन्दात्मिकाम् (nirduḥkhaniratiśayānandātmikām) - of the nature of sorrowlessness and supreme bliss; तत् (tat) - that; च (ca) - and; उक्तम् (uktam) - has been said;]
'My nature' (madbhāvaṁ) means existence in Me. It is without sorrow and of the nature of supreme bliss. Also, it has been said:
"मुक्तानां च गतिर्ब्रह्मन् क्षेत्रज्ञ इति कल्पितः।"
"muktānāṁ ca gatirbrahman kṣetrajña iti kalpitaḥ।"
[मुक्तानाम् (muktānām) - of the liberated; च (ca) - and; गतिः (gatiḥ) - the destination; ब्रह्मन् (brahman) - O Brahman; क्षेत्रज्ञः (kṣetrajñaḥ) - the knower of the field; इति (iti) - thus; कल्पितः (kalpitaḥ) - is considered;]
"The destination of the liberated is considered to be the Brahman, that kṣetrajña, the knower of the field."
इति मोक्षधर्मे ॥५॥
iti mokṣadharme ॥5॥
[इति (iti) - thus; मोक्षधर्मे (mokṣadharme) - in the section on liberation and righteousness;]
- stated thus in the Mokṣa-dharma section (of Mahabharata).

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
