Jayanti Nirnaya 08
अर्घ्यं दत्वा समभ्यर्च्याभ्युदिते शशिमण्डले।
arghyaṁ datvā samabhyarcyābhyuditē śaśimaṇḍalē।
[arghyaṁ ='arghya; 'datvā = offering; samabhyarcyābhyuditē = worship the rising; śaśimaṇḍalē = the moon system;]
Offering 'arghya' (pure water), worship the rising moon.
"जातः कंसवधार्थाय भूभारोत्तारणाय च। कौरवाणां विनाशाय दैत्यानां निधनाय च। पाण्डवानां हितार्थाय धर्मसंस्थापनाय च। गृहणार्घ्यं मया दत्तं देवक्या सहितो हरे॥"
"jātaḥ kaṁsavadhārthāya bhūbhārōttāraṇāya ca। kauravāṇāṁ vināśāya daityānāṁ nidhanāya ca। pāṇḍavānāṁ hitārthāya dharmasaṁsthāpanāya ca। gr̥haṇārghyaṁ mayā dattaṁ dēvakyā sahitō harē॥"
[jātaḥ = born; kaṁsavadhārthāya = to kill Kamsa; bhūbhārōttāraṇāya = to lift the burden of the earth; ca = as well; kauravāṇāṁ vināśāya = for the destruction of the Kauravas/ Wicked; daityānāṁ nidhanāya ca = and to bring death of the demons; pāṇḍavānāṁ hitārthāya = for the wellbeing of the Pandavas/ righteous; dharmasaṁsthāpanāya ca = and for the establishment of righteousness; gr̥haṇārghyaṁ = accept the offering of arghya; mayā dattaṁ = given by me; dēvakyā sahitō harē = O Hari along with Devakī;]
O Hari, born to kill Kamsa, to lift the burden of the earth, for the destruction of the wicked, to bring death of the demons, for the wellbeing of the righteous, and for the establishment of righteousness, kindly accept the offering of Arghya given by me, along with mother Devakī.

The verse "jātaḥ kaṁsavadhārthāya" is missing in "Hrishikesha" manuscript, though present in others. Thus, it may be later addition, based on the practices followed.
