Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 8.28
वेदेषु यज्ञेषु तपःसु चैव दानेषु यत् पुण्यफलं प्रदिष्टम्। अत्येति तत्सर्वमिदं विदित्वा योगी परं स्थानमुपैति चाऽद्यम् ॥२८॥
vedeṣu yajñeṣu tapaḥsu caiva dāneṣu yat puṇyaphalaṁ pradiṣṭam। atyeti tatsarvamidaṁ viditvā yogī paraṁ sthānamupaiti cā'dyam ॥28॥
[वेदेषु (vedeṣu) - In the Vedas; यज्ञेषु (yajñeṣu) - In sacrifices; तपःसु (tapaḥsu) - In austerities; च (ca) - And; एव (eva) - Indeed; दानेषु (dāneṣu) - In charities; यत् (yat) - Whatever; पुण्य-फलं (puṇya-phalaṁ) - Meritorious fruit; प्रदिष्टम् (pradiṣṭam) - Is declared; अत्येति (atyeti) - Surpasses; तत् (tat) - That; सर्वम् (sarvam) - All; इदं (idaṁ) - This; विदित्वा (viditvā) - Having known; योगी (yogī) - The yogi; परं (param) - Supreme; स्थानम् (sthānam) - Abode; उपैति (upaiti) - Attains; च (ca) - And; आद्यम् (ādyam) - The primordial (eternal);]
Whatever meritorious fruit is declared in the Vedas, sacrifices, austerities, and charities — all this the yogi surpasses, and having known this, he attains the supreme, eternal abode.
Gīta Tātparya 8.28
Such a person, transcending all deeds and undeluded, attains that Supreme Brahman.
"मार्गौ ब्रह्म च यः पश्येत् साक्षादेवापरोक्षतः। सर्वपुण्यातिगोऽमुह्यन् यात्यसौ ब्रह्म तत्परम्॥"
"mārgau brahma ca yaḥ paśyet sākṣādevāparokṣataḥ। sarvapuṇyātigo'muhyan yātyasau brahma tatparam॥"
[मार्गौ (mārgau) - The two paths; ब्रह्म (brahma) - And Brahman; च (ca) - And; यः (yaḥ) - Whoever; पश्येत् (paśyet) - Sees; साक्षात् (sākṣāt) - Directly; एव (eva) - Indeed; अपरोक्षतः (aparokṣataḥ) - Without indirect knowledge (immediately perceived); सर्व-पुण्य-अतिगः (sarva-puṇya-atigaḥ) - Beyond all merits (transcending all virtuous deeds); अमुह्यन् (amuhyan) - Undeluded; याति (yāti) - Goes; असौ (asau) - That one; ब्रह्म (brahma) - To Brahman; तत्-परम् (tat-param) - The Supreme That;]
"Whoever perceives the two paths and Brahman directly that is beyond, transcending all deeds and undeluded, attains that Supreme Brahman."
इति च ॥२५- २८॥

[इति (iti) - Thus; च (ca) - And/as well; ]

॥ इति श्रीमदानन्दतीर्थभगवत्पादाचार्यविरचिते श्रीभगवद्गीतातात्पर्यनिर्णये अष्टमोध्यायः ॥
॥ iti śrīmadānandatīrthabhagavatpādācāryaviracite śrībhagavadgītātātparyanirṇaye aṣṭamodhyāyaḥ ॥
Thus concludes the eighth chapter of "The Determination of the Purport of the Bhagavad Gītā", composed by the glorious Ānanda Tīrtha Bhagavatpāda Ācārya
॥ ओं तत्सदिति श्रीमद्भगवद्गीतासु उपनिषत्सु ब्रह्मविद्यायां योगशास्त्रे श्रीकृष्णार्जुनसंवादे अक्षरब्रह्मयोगो नाम अष्टमोध्यायः ॥
॥ oṁ tatsaditi śrīmadbhagavadgītāsu upaniṣatsu brahmavidyāyāṁ yogaśāstre śrīkr̥ṣṇārjunasaṁvāde akṣarabrahmayogo nāma aṣṭamodhyāyaḥ ॥
Om, thus ends the eigth chapter of the Bhagavad Gita, which is part of the Upanishads and the Yoga Shastra, in the dialogue between Sri Krishna and Arjuna, known as the 'Akṣarabrahma Yogo', in the study of Brahma Vidya (knowledge of the Absolute).

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
