Bhagavad Gīta Tātparya
B.G 4.24
ब्रह्मार्पणं ब्रह्महविर्ब्रह्माग्नौ ब्रह्मणा हुतम्। ब्रह्मैव तेन गन्तव्यं ब्रह्मकर्मसमाधिना ॥२४॥
brahmārpaṇaṁ brahmahavirbrahmāgnau brahmaṇā hutam। brahmaiva tena gantavyaṁ brahmakarmasamādhinā ॥24॥
[ब्रह्म अर्पणं ब्रह्महविः ब्रह्म अग्नौ ब्रह्मणा हुतम्। ब्रह्म एव तेन गन्तव्यं ब्रह्म कर्म समाधिना॥
brahma = the absolute or the supreme reality; arpaṇaṁ = is the offering; brahma = the absolute or the supreme reality; haviḥ = is the sacrifice; brahma = the absolute or the supreme reality; agnau = is the fire that consumes; brahmaṇā = by Brahman; hutam = is the sacrificed;। brahma = the absolute or the supreme reality; eva = only; tena = by that; gantavyaṁ = to be reached; brahma = the absolute or the supreme reality; karma = in action; samādhinā = in an equanimous state;]
That Brahman, the absolute supreme reality, is the offering, that Brahman is the sacrifice, that Brahman is the fire that consumes, that Brahman is the destination to be reached, and all actions and equanimous state depend on that Brahman alone.
Gīta Tātparya 4.24
How to abandon the ego? By understanding, there is but one independent lord, and everything else is His.
कथमभिमानत्यागः - ब्रह्मार्पणमित्यादि। ब्रह्मण्यर्पणं ब्रह्मार्पणम्। ब्रह्मणो हविः। ब्रह्मणः अग्नौ। ब्रह्मणः कर्म समाधिना सह। समाधिरपि तदधीना इत्यर्थः।
kathamabhimānatyāgaḥ - brahmārpaṇamityādi। brahmaṇyarpaṇaṁ brahmārpaṇam। brahmaṇo haviḥ। brahmaṇaḥ agnau। brahmaṇaḥ karma samādhinā saha। samādhirapi tadadhīnā ityarthaḥ।
[kathamabhimānatyāgaḥ = how to abandon the ego? brahmārpaṇamityādi = is answered by 'brahmārpaṇa' verse; । brahmaṇyarpaṇaṁ = offering made to Brahman is; brahmārpaṇam = 'brahmārpaṇam';। brahmaṇo haviḥ = belonging to Brahman is the sacrifice;। brahmaṇaḥ agnau = The fire is that of Brahman;। brahmaṇaḥ = belongs to that Brahman; karma = action; samādhinā = that equanimous state; saha = as well;। samādhirapi = even the equanimous state of 'samādhi'; tadadhīnā = depends on him; ityarthaḥ = is the meaning।]
How to abandon the ego? - is answered by 'brahmārpaṇa' verse. 'brahmārpaṇam' means offering made to Brahman. The sacrifice belongs to Brahman. The fire is that of Brahman. Even the actions and equanimous state belong to him. The equanimous state of 'samādhi' depends on Him is the meaning.
"एकः स्वतन्त्रो भगवान् तदीयं त्वन्यदुच्यते।"
इति भारते ॥२४॥
"ekaḥ svatantro bhagavān tadīyaṁ tvanyaducyate।"
iti bhārate ॥24॥
["ekaḥ = one; svatantro = independent; bhagavān = the lord; tadīyaṁ = His; tvanyaducyate = is everything else, it is declared;]

"The independent lord is One. It is declared, everything else is His."
- states Mahabharata.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
