Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 12.06-11
ये तु सर्वाणि कर्माणि मयि संन्यस्य मत्पराः। अनन्येनैव योगेन मां ध्यायन्त उपासते ॥६॥
ye tu sarvāṇi karmāṇi mayi saṃnyasya matparāḥ। ananyenaiva yogena māṃ dhyāyanta upāsate ॥6॥
[ये (ye) - those who; तु (tu) - but; सर्वाणि (sarvāṇi) - all; कर्माणि (karmāṇi) - actions; मयि (mayi) - in me; संन्यस्य (saṃnyasya) - having renounced; मत्पराः (matparāḥ) - devoted to me; अनन्येन (ananyena) - without others; एव (eva) - only; योगेन (yogena) - by yoga; मां (māṃ) - me; ध्यायन्त (dhyāyanta) - meditating; उपासते (upāsate) - worship;]
Those who dedicate all their actions to me, considering me as the supreme goal, and who meditate on me with unwavering devotion, truly worship me.
तेषामहं समुद्धर्ता मृत्युसंसारसागरात्। भवामि नचिरात् पार्थ मय्यावेशितचेतसाम् ॥७॥
teṣāmahaṃ samuddhartā mṛtyusaṃsārasāgarāt. bhavāmi nacirāt pārtha mayyāveśitacetasām ..7..
[तेषाम् (teṣām) - of them; अहम् (aham) - I; समुद्धर्ता (samuddhartā) - rescuer; मृत्यु (mṛtyu) - death; संसार (saṃsāra) - worldly existence; सागरात् (sāgarāt) - from the ocean; भवामि (bhavāmi) - become; नचिरात् (nacirāt) - soon; पार्थ (pārtha) - O son of Pritha; मयि (mayi) - in me; आवेशित (āveśita) - absorbed; चेतसाम् (cetasām) - of those whose minds;]
O Arjuna, I quickly rescue those whose minds are absorbed in me from worldly existence and the ocean of birth and death.
मय्येव मन आधत्स्व मयि बुद्धिं निवेशय। निवसिष्यसि मय्येव अत ऊर्ध्वं न संशयः ॥८॥
mayyeva mana ādhatsva mayi buddhiṁ niveśaya। nivasiṣyasi mayyeva ata ūrdhvaṁ na sanśayaḥ ॥8॥
[मयि (mayi) - in me; एव (eva) - only; मनः (manaḥ) - mind; आधत्स्व (ādhatsva) - fix; मयि (mayi) - in me; बुद्धिम् (buddhim) - intellect; निवेशय (niveśaya) - place; निवसिष्यसि (nivasiṣyasi) - you will dwell; मयि (mayi) - in me; एव (eva) - only; अतः (ataḥ) - thereafter; ऊर्ध्वम् (ūrdhvam) - above; न (na) - no; संशयः (sanśayaḥ) - doubt;]
Place your mind and intellect in me alone. Without a doubt, you will reside in me thereafter.
अथ चित्तं समाधातुं न शक्नोषि मयि स्थिरम्। अभ्यासयोगेन ततो मामिच्छाप्तुं धनञ्जय ॥९॥
atha cittaṁ samādhātuṁ na śaknoṣi mayi sthiram। abhyāsayogena tato mām icchāptuṁ dhanañjaya ॥9॥
[अथ (atha) - then; चित्तम् (cittam) - mind; समाधातुम् (samādhātum) - to fix; न (na) - not; शक्नोषि (śaknoṣi) - you are able; मयि (mayi) - in Me; स्थिरम् (sthiram) - steadily; अभ्यासयोगेन (abhyāsayogena) - by the yoga of practice; ततः (tataḥ) - then; माम् (mām) - Me; इच्छ (iccha) - desire; आप्तुम् (āptum) - to attain; धनञ्जय (dhanañjaya) - O Dhananjaya;]
O Dhananjaya, if you are unable to fix the mind steadily on Me, then by the yoga of practice, desire to attain Me.
अभ्यासेऽप्यसमर्थोसि मत्कर्मपरमो भव। मदर्थमपि कर्माणि कुर्वन् सिद्धिमवाप्स्यसि ॥१०॥
abhyāse'pyasamartho'si matkarmaparamo bhava। madarthamapi karmāṇi kurvan siddhimavāpsyasi ॥10॥
[अभ्यासे (abhyāse) - in practice; अपि (api) - even; असमर्थः (asamarthaḥ) - incapable; असि (asi) - you are; मत्कर्म (matkarma) - my work; परमः (paramaḥ) - supreme; भव (bhava) - be; मदर्थम् (madartham) - for my sake; अपि (api) - even; कर्माणि (karmāṇi) - actions; कुर्वन् (kurvan) - performing; सिद्धिम् (siddhim) - perfection; अवाप्स्यसि (avāpsyasi) - you will attain;]
If you are unable to practice, dedicate yourself to my work. By performing actions for my sake, you will achieve perfection.
अथैतदप्यशक्तोऽसि कर्तुं मद्योगमाश्रितः। सर्वकर्मफलत्यागं ततः कुरु यतात्मवान् ॥११॥
athaitadapy aśakto'si kartuṃ madyogam āśritaḥ। sarvakarmaphalatyāgaṃ tataḥ kuru yatātmavān ॥11॥
[अथ (atha) - then; एतत् (etat) - this; अपि (api) - also; अशक्तः (aśaktaḥ) - unable; असि (asi) - are; कर्तुम् (kartum) - to do; मद्योगम् (madyogam) - my yoga; आश्रितः (āśritaḥ) - taking shelter; सर्वकर्मफलत्यागम् (sarvakarmaphalatyāgam) - renunciation of all action fruits; ततः (tataḥ) - then; कुरु (kuru) - do; यतात्मवान् (yatātmavān) - self-controlled;]
If you are unable to perform this, then taking shelter in My Yoga, renounce the fruits of all actions, and be self-controlled.
Gīta Bhāshya 12.06-11
Among the devotees, those who are exclusively devoted to lord Krishna without relying on other deities are the best. Indeed, lord Krishna is the ultimate goal for them, who perform actions devoid of desires.
मदुपासकानां भक्तानां न कश्चित् क्लेशः इति दर्शयति- ये तु इत्यादिना। उक्तं च सौकरायणश्रुतौ-
madupāsakānāṃ bhaktānāṃ na kaścit kleśaḥ iti darśayati- ye tu ityādinā. uktaṃ ca saukarāyaṇaśrutau-
[मदुपासकानां (madupāsakānāṃ) - of My worshippers; भक्तानां (bhaktānāṃ) - of the devotees; न (na) - not; कश्चित् (kaścit) - any; क्लेशः (kleśaḥ) - trouble; इति (iti) - thus; दर्शयति (darśayati) - shows; ये (ye) - who; तु (tu) - but; इत्यादिना (ityādinā) - and so on; उक्तं (uktaṃ) - said; च (ca) - and; सौकरायणश्रुतौ (saukarāyaṇaśrutau) - in the Saukarayana scripture;]
It is shown that "My worshippers and devotees face no trouble", as mentioned in "ye tu" verse. It is stated as well in the Saukarayana scripture:
"उपासते ये पुरुषं वासुदेवमव्यक्तादेरीप्सितं किं नु तेषाम्॥"
upāsate ye puruṣaṃ vāsudevamavyaktāderīpsitaṃ kiṃ nu teṣām॥
[उपासते (upāsate) - worship; ये (ye) - who; पुरुषम् (puruṣam) - the person; वासुदेवम् (vāsudevam) - Vasudeva; अव्यक्तादेः (avyaktādeḥ) - from the unmanifest principles and others; ईप्सितम् (īpsitam) - desired; किम् (kim) - what; नु (nu) - indeed; तेषाम् (teṣām) - for them;]
"For those who worship the Supreme Person Vasudeva, what indeed is the use of unmanifest principle and others?"

[इति (iti) - thus;]
- stated thus.
"तेषां एकान्तिनः श्रेष्ठाः ते चैवानन्यदेवताः। अहमेव गतिस्तेषां निराशीः कर्मकारिणाम्॥"
teṣāṃ ekāntinaḥ śreṣṭhāḥ te caivānanyadevatāḥ। ahameva gatisteṣāṃ nirāśīḥ karmakāriṇām॥
[तेषां (teṣām) - of them; एकान्तिनः (ekāntinaḥ) - devoted exclusively; श्रेष्ठाः (śreṣṭhāḥ) - the best; ते (te) - they; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; अनन्यदेवताः (ananyadevatāḥ) - without other deities; अहम् (aham) - I; एव (eva) - indeed; गतिः (gatiḥ) - goal; तेषां (teṣām) - of them; निराशीः (nirāśīḥ) - without desires; कर्मकारिणाम् (karmakāriṇām) - of the performers of actions;]
"Among the devotees, those who are exclusively devoted to Me without relying on other deities are the best. Indeed, I am the ultimate goal for them, who perform actions devoid of desires."
इति च मोक्षधर्मे ॥६-११॥
iti ca mokṣadharme ॥6-11॥
[इति (iti) - thus; च (ca) - and; मोक्षधर्मे (mokṣadharme) - in the Moksha Dharma;]
- stated thus, in the Moksha Dharma section (of Mahabharata).

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
