Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 7.17 and 7.18
तेषां ज्ञानी नित्ययुक्त एकभक्तिर्विशिष्यते। प्रियो हि ज्ञानिनोऽत्यर्थमहं स च मम प्रियः ॥१७॥
उदाराः सर्व एवैते ज्ञानी त्वात्मैव मे मतम्। आस्थितः स हि युक्तात्मा मामेवानुत्तमां गतिम् ॥१८॥
teṣāṁ jñānī nityayukta ekabhaktirviśiṣyate। priyo hi jñānino'tyarthamahaṁ sa ca mama priyaḥ ॥17॥
udārāḥ sarva evaite jñānī tvātmaiva me matam। āsthitaḥ sa hi yuktātmā māmevānuttamāṁ gatim ॥18॥
[तेषां ज्ञानी नित्ययुक्त एकभक्तिः विशिष्यते। प्रियो हि ज्ञानिनः अत्यर्थम् अहं स च मम प्रियः॥
तेषाम् (teṣām) - Among them; ज्ञानी (jñānī) - The wise one; the one endowed with knowledge; नित्ययुक्तः (nityayuktaḥ) - Ever engaged; एकभक्तिः (ekabhakti) - Single pointed devotion; विशिष्यते (viśiṣyate) - Excels; stands apart; प्रियः (priyaḥ) - Beloved; dear; हि (hi) - Indeed; surely; ज्ञानिनः (jñāninaḥ) - To the wise one; अत्यर्थम् (atyartham) - Exceedingly; extremely; ( अति (ati) - Excessive; अर्थम् (artham) - For, exceedingly;) अहम् (aham) - I (the Supreme Lord); सः (saḥ) - He; that (wise one); च (ca) - And; मम (mama) - To Me; प्रियः (priyaḥ) - Dear; beloved;]
[उदाराः सर्व एव एते ज्ञानी तु आत्म एव मे मतम्। आस्थितः स हि युक्तात्मा माम् एव अनुत्तमां गतिम्॥
उदाराः (udārāḥ) - Noble; generous; सर्वे (sarve) - All; एव (eva) - Indeed; certainly; एते (ete) - These; ज्ञानी (jñānī) - The wise one; तु (tu) - But; however; आत्मा (ātmā) - essence; soul; एव (eva) - Indeed; मे (me) - To Me; mine; मतम् (matam) - Considered; regarded; opinion; आस्थितः (āsthitaḥ) - Established; abiding in; सः (saḥ) - He; that person; हि (hi) - Indeed; surely; युक्तात्मा (yuktātmā) - One whose mind is steady; self-controlled; माम् (mām) - Me (the Supreme Lord); एव (eva) - Indeed; only; अनुत्तमां (anuttamām) - The highest; unsurpassed; गतिम् (gatim) - Goal; path; destination; ]
All these are indeed noble, but among them, the Wise One (jñānī), who is ever steadfast and has single-pointed devotion, excels. Such a wise person is considered by Me as My very essence. I am exceedingly dear to him, and he is also dear to Me. Such a wise one is steadfastly situated in Me, is firmly established, and attains Me alone as the supreme and unsurpassed goal.
Gīta Bhāshya 7.17 and 18
ekabhakti, i.e. Single-pointed devotion - Devotion exclusively in the Lord and not elsewhere.
एकस्मिन्नेव भक्तिः इति एकभक्तिः। तच्चोक्तं गारुडे -
ekasminneva bhaktiḥ iti ekabhaktiḥ। taccoktaṁ gāruḍe -
[एकस्मिन् (ekasmin) - In one (alone); एव (eva) - Indeed; only’ भक्तिः (bhaktiḥ) - Devotion; इति (iti) - Thus; so; एकभक्तिः (ekabhaktiḥ) - Single-pointed devotion; तत् (tat) - That; च (ca) – And; उक्तं (uktaṁ) - Has been said; spoken; गारुडे (gāruḍe) - In the Garuḍa Purāṇa; ]
Devotion fixed on one alone is called 'ekabhakti' (single-pointed devotion). The Garuḍa Purāṇa also makes the following statement:
"मय्येव भक्तिर्नान्यत्र एकभक्तिः स उच्यते।"
"mayyeva bhaktirnānyatra ekabhaktiḥ sa ucyate।"
[मयि (mayi) - In Me; एव (eva) - Indeed; only; भक्तिः (bhaktiḥ) - Devotion; न (na) – Not; अन्यत्र (anyatra) - Elsewhere; in another place; एकभक्तिः (ekabhaktiḥ) - Single-pointed devotion; सः (saḥ) - He; that person; उच्यते (ucyate) - Is called; is said; ]
"Devotion exclusively in Me and not elsewhere is called ekabhakti (single-pointed devotion)."

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
