B.G 3.33
सदृशं चेष्टते स्वस्याः प्रकृतेर्ज्ञानवानपि। प्रकृतिं यान्ति भूतानि निग्रहः किं करिष्यति ॥३३॥
sadr̥śaṁ cēṣṭatē svasyāḥ prakr̥tērjñānavānapi। prakr̥tiṁ yānti bhūtāni nigrahaḥ kiṁ kariṣyati ॥33॥
[सदृशं चेष्टते स्वस्याः प्रकृतेः ज्ञानवान् अपि। प्रकृतिं यान्ति भूतानि निग्रहः किं करिष्यति॥
sadr̥śaṁ = accordingly; cēṣṭatē = behaves; svasyāḥ = one's own; prakr̥tēḥ = inherent nature; jñānavān = knowledgeable; api = even;। prakr̥tiṁ = their inherent nature; yānti = under go; bhūtāni = All beings; nigrahaḥ = controlling them; kiṁ = what; kariṣyati = will do;॥]
Even the knowledgeable behave according to one's own inherent nature. All beings are driven by the prakrti, i.e. the inherent nature of the being along with its previous imprint; What can control (of Indriyas) do?

It explains why one doesn't follow the decided view of the lord. 'prakr̥ti' in this context includes previous imprints.
एवं चेत् किमिति ते मतं नानुतिष्ठन्ति लोकाः इत्यत आह - सदृशम् इति। प्रकृतिः पूर्वसंस्कारः ॥३३॥
ēvaṁ cēt kimiti tē mataṁ nānutiṣṭhanti lōkāḥ ityata āha - sadr̥śam iti । prakr̥tiḥ pūrvasaṁskāraḥ ॥ 33 ॥
[ēvaṁ = in this way; cēt = if; kimiti = why so; tē = they; mataṁ = opinion; nānutiṣṭhanti = not follo; lōkāḥ = the world; ityata āha = therefore it is said; sadr̥śam iti = 'sadr̥śaṁ' i.e. accordingly, verse; । prakr̥tiḥ = 'prakr̥ti' word in this context means; pūrvasaṁskāraḥ = previous imprints;॥ 33 ॥]
"Even so, why does the world not follow your opinion?" - is answered by stating 'sadr̥śaṁ', i.e. 'accordingly', verse. 'prakr̥ti' in this context includes previous imprints.
