B.G 18.11
न हि देहभृता शक्यं त्यक्तुं कर्माण्यशेषतः। यस्तु कर्मफलत्यागी स त्यागीत्यभिधीयते ॥११॥
na hi dehabhṛtā śakyaṃ tyaktuṃ karmāṇyaśeṣataḥ। yastu karmaphalatyāgī sa tyāgītyabhidhīyate ॥11॥
[न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; देहभृता (dehabhṛtā) - by the embodied; शक्यं (śakyaṃ) - possible; त्यक्तुं (tyaktuṃ) - to abandon; कर्माणि (karmāṇi) - actions; अशेषतः (aśeṣataḥ) - entirely; यः (yaḥ) - who; तु (tu) - but; कर्मफलत्यागी (karmaphalatyāgī) - relinquisher of the fruits of actions; सः (saḥ) - he; त्यागी (tyāgī) - relinquisher; इति (iti) - thus; अभिधीयते (abhidhīyate) - is called;]
Indeed, it is impossible for one who has a body to renounce actions completely. However, one who relinquishes the fruits of actions is truly considered a relinquisher.
Gīta Bhāshya 18.11
It is conclusively stated that there is no other meaning for 'tyāga' i.e. relinquishment, than to relinquish the fruits of actions.
अन्यः त्यागार्थो न युक्तः इत्याह- न हि इति ॥११॥
anyaḥ tyāgārtho na yuktaḥ ityāha- na hi iti ॥11॥
[अन्यः (anyaḥ) - another; त्यागार्थः (tyāgārthaḥ) - meaning for relinquishment; न (na) - not; युक्तः (yuktaḥ) - appropriate; इत्याह (ityāha) - thus said; न (na) - not; हि (hi) - indeed; इति (iti) - thus;]
(Another is not appropriate for renunciation, thus said - not indeed thus.)
There is no other meaning for relinquishment; hence it is sated 'na hi' i.e. 'indeed not' in the verse.
