Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 15.09
श्रोत्रं चक्षुः स्पर्शनं च रसनं घ्राणमेव च। अधिष्ठाय मनश्चायं विषयानुपसेवते ॥९॥
śrotraṁ cakṣuḥ sparśanaṁ ca rasanaṁ ghrāṇameva ca। adhiṣṭhāya manaścāyaṁ viṣayānupasevate ॥9॥
[श्रोत्रं (śrotraṁ) - ear; चक्षुः (cakṣuḥ) - eye; स्पर्शनं (sparśanaṁ) - touch; च (ca) - and; रसनं (rasanaṁ) - tongue; घ्राणम् (ghrāṇam) - nose; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and; अधिष्ठाय (adhiṣṭhāya) - He presiding over; मनः (manaḥ) - mind; च (ca) - and; अयम् (ayam) - this; विषयान् (viṣayān) - objects; उपसेवते (upasevate) - enjoys;]
He presides over the senses such as ear, eye, touch, tongue, and nose, along with the mind, engage with and enjoy the sensory objects.
Gīta Bhāshya 15.09
The Lord also enjoys through the senses, only those endowed with auspicious qualities. Indeed, sin does not reach Him.
इंद्रियद्वारा सोऽपि भुङ्क्ते।
indriyadvārā so'pi bhuṅkte।
[इंद्रियद्वारा (indriyadvārā) - through the senses; सः (saḥ) - he; अपि (api) - also; भुङ्क्ते (bhuṅkte) - enjoys;]
He, the Lord, also enjoys through the senses.
"तद्य इमे वीणायां गायन्ति एतं ते गायन्ति।"
"tadya ime vīṇāyāṃ gāyanti etaṃ te gāyanti।"
[तद्य (tadya) - therefore; इमे (ime) - these; वीणायाम् (vīṇāyām) - on the lute; गायन्ति (gāyanti) - sing; एतं (etaṃ) - this; ते (te) - they; गायन्ति (gāyanti) - sing;]
"Therefore, these people sing this song on the lute (Veena)."
इति च श्रुतिः।
iti ca śrutiḥ।
[इति (iti) - thus; च (ca) - and; श्रुतिः (śrutiḥ) - scripture;]
- stated thus is the Vedic testimonial.
गुणान्वितमेव भुङ्क्ते -
guṇānvitameva bhuṅkte -
[गुणान्वितम् (guṇānvitam) - endowed with auspicious qualities; एव (eva) - only; भुङ्क्ते (bhuṅkte) - enjoys;]
Enjoys only that which is endowed with auspicious qualities:
"न ह वै देवान् पापं गच्छति।"
"na ha vai devān pāpaṃ gacchati।"
[न (na) - not; ह (ha) - indeed; वै (vai) - truly; देवान् (devān) - to the gods; पापं (pāpaṃ) - sin; गच्छति (gacchati) - goes;]
"Indeed, sin does not reach the gods."
इति श्रुतेः ॥९॥
iti śruteḥ ॥9॥
[इति (iti) - thus; श्रुतेः (śruteḥ) - of the Vedic scripture;]
- stated thus in the Vedic scriptures.
Gīta Tātparya 15.09
Even though the Lord is in complete bliss, indeed, playfully partakes in enjoyment.
"भुङ्क्ते हरिः शुभान् भोगानिंद्रियेषु व्यवस्थितः। पूर्णानन्दोऽपि भगवान् क्रीडया भुङ्क्त एव तु॥"
"bhuṅkte hariḥ śubhān bhogānindriyeṣu vyavasthitaḥ। pūrṇānando'pi bhagavān krīḍayā bhuṅkta eva tu॥"
[भुङ्क्ते (bhuṅkte) - enjoys; हरिः (hariḥ) - Hari; शुभान् (śubhān) - auspicious; भोगान् (bhogān) - pleasures; इंद्रियेषु (indriyeṣu) - in the senses; व्यवस्थितः (vyavasthitaḥ) - situated; पूर्णानन्दः (pūrṇānandaḥ) - complete bliss; अपि (api) - also; भगवान् (bhagavān) - the Lord; क्रीडया (krīḍayā) - playfully; भुङ्क्त (bhuṅkta) - enjoys; एव (eva) - indeed; तु (tu) - but;]
"Lord Hari enjoys auspicious pleasures situated in the senses. Even though the Lord is in complete bliss, indeed, playfully partakes in enjoyment."

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
