Taittirīyopaniṣat 01.12

यथापः प्रवता यन्ति। यथा मासा अहर्जरम्। एवं मां ब्रह्मचारिणः। धातरायन्तु सर्वतः स्वाहा। प्रतिवेशोऽसि प्र मा भाहि प्र मा पद्यस्व ॥१२॥

yathāpaḥ pravatā yanti। yathā māsā aharjaram। evaṃ māṃ brahmacāriṇaḥ। dhātārayantu sarvataḥ svāhā। prativeśo'si pra mā bhāhi pra mā padyasva ॥12॥

[यथा (yathā) - just as; अपः (apaḥ) - waters; प्रवता (pravatā) - downward; यन्ति (yanti) - go; यथा (yathā) - just as; मासाः (māsāḥ) - months; अहः (ahaḥ) - day; जरम् (jaram) - wear away; एवं (evaṃ) - thus; माम् (mām) - me; ब्रह्मचारिणः (brahmacāriṇaḥ) - celibates; धातरः (dhātaraḥ) - sustainers; आयन्तु (āyantu) - may come; सर्वतः (sarvataḥ) - from all sides; स्वाहा (svāhā) - offering; प्रतिवेशः (prativeśaḥ) - neighbor; असि (asi) - you are; प्र (pra) - forth; मा (mā) - not; भाहि (bhāhi) - shine; प्र (pra) - forth; मा (mā) - not; पद्यस्व (padyasva) - fall;]

Just as waters flow downward and months wear away the days, so may the brahmachārins (students), the sustainers, come to me from all directions. Offering! You are the neighbour; may your radiance never leave us; do not depart from our hearts.
