Shat.Upa 02.04

तद्यथा मधुमक्षिका मधुकरराजानमुत्क्रामन्तं सर्वा एवोत्क्रमन्ते। तस्मिंश्चप्रतिष्ठमाने सर्वा एव प्रतिष्ठन्ते। एवं वाङ्मनश्चक्षुः श्रोत्रं चेति। ते प्रीताः प्राणं स्तुन्वन्त्यैषोऽग्निस्तपत्येष सूर्य एष पर्जन्यो मघवानेष वायुरेष पृथिवी रयिर्देवः सदसच्चामृतं च यत् ॥४॥

tadyathā madhumakṣikā madhukararājānamutkrāmantaṃ sarvā evotkramante। tasmiṃścapratiṣṭhamāne sarvā eva pratiṣṭhante। evaṃ vāṅmanaścakṣuḥ śrotraṃ ceti। te prītāḥ prāṇaṃ stunvantyaiṣo'gnistapatyeṣa sūrya eṣa parjanyo maghavāneṣa vāyureṣa pṛthivī rayirdevaḥ sadasaccāmṛtaṃ ca yat ॥4॥

[तद्यथा (tadyathā) - just as; मधुमक्षिका (madhumakṣikā) - honeybee; मधुकरराजानम् (madhukararājānam) - bee king; उत्क्रामन्तम् (utkrāmantam) - departing; सर्वाः (sarvāḥ) - all; एव (eva) - indeed; उत्क्रमन्ते (utkramante) - depart; तस्मिन् (tasmin) - in him; च (ca) - and; प्रतिष्ठमाने (pratiṣṭhamāne) - being established; सर्वाः (sarvāḥ) - all; एव (eva) - indeed; प्रतिष्ठन्ते (pratiṣṭhante) - are established; एवं (evaṃ) - thus; वाक् (vāk) - speech; मनः (manaḥ) - mind; चक्षुः (cakṣuḥ) - eye; श्रोत्रम् (śrotram) - ear; च (ca) - and; इति (iti) - thus; ते (te) - they; प्रीताः (prītāḥ) - pleased; प्राणम् (prāṇam) - life force; स्तुन्वन्ति (stunvanti) - praise; एषः (eṣaḥ) - this; अग्निः (agniḥ) - fire; तपति (tapati) - shines; एषः (eṣaḥ) - this; सूर्यः (sūryaḥ) - sun; एषः (eṣaḥ) - this; पर्जन्यः (parjanyaḥ) - rain; मघवान् (maghavān) - Indra; एषः (eṣaḥ) - this; वायुः (vāyuḥ) - wind; एषः (eṣaḥ) - this; पृथिवी (pṛthivī) - earth; रयिः (rayiḥ) - wealth; देवः (devaḥ) - god; सत् (sat) - existence; असत् (asat) - non-existence; च (ca) - and; अमृतम् (amṛtam) - immortality; च (ca) - and; यत् (yat) - which;]

Just as all bees follow the queen bee when she departs and settle when she settles, similarly, speech, mind, eye, and ear follow the Prāṇa, the life force. They, pleased, praise that life force: this is fire, this is the sun, this is rain, this is Indra, this is wind, this is earth, wealth, god, existence and non-existence, and immortality.
