Shaṭpraśnopaniṣat Bhāshya (षट्प्रश्नोपनिषद्भाष्यं)
Shat.Upa 02.01
अथ हैनं भार्गवो वैदर्भिः पप्रच्छ।
atha hainaṃ bhārgavo vaidarbhiḥ papraccha।
[अथ (atha) - then; हैनं (hainaṃ) - to him; भार्गवः (bhārgavaḥ) - Bhargava; वैदर्भिः (vaidarbhiḥ) - Vaidarbhi, the son of; पप्रच्छ (papraccha) - asked;]
Then Vaidarbhi, the son of Bhargava, asked him.
भगवन् कत्येव देवाः प्रजा विधारयन्ते। कतर एतत् प्रकाशयन्ते। कं पुनरेषां वरिष्ठ इति ॥१॥
bhagavan katyeva devāḥ prajā vidhārayante। katara etat prakāśayante। kaṃ punareṣāṃ variṣṭha iti ॥1॥
[भगवन् (bhagavan) - O Lord; कत्येव (katyeva) - how many indeed; देवाः (devāḥ) - gods; प्रजा (prajā) - creatures; विधारयन्ते (vidhārayante) - support; कतर (katara) - which; एतत् (etat) - this; प्रकाशयन्ते (prakāśayante) - illuminate; कं (kaṃ) - whom; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; एषां (eṣāṃ) - of these; वरिष्ठ (variṣṭha) - the greatest; इति (iti) - thus;]
O Lord, how many gods are there that support the creatures? Which of them illuminates these beings? And who among them is the greatest?

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
