Shaṭpraśnopaniṣat Bhāshya (षट्प्रश्नोपनिषद्भाष्यं)
Shat.Upa 01.06
स एष वैश्वानरो विश्वरूपः प्राणोऽग्निरुदयते। तदेतदृचाऽभ्युक्तम्।
sa eṣa vaiśvānaro viśvarūpaḥ prāṇo'gnirudayate। tadetadṛcā'bhyuktam।
[स (sa) - he; एष (eṣa) - this; वैश्वानरः (vaiśvānaraḥ) - Vaiśvānara; विश्वरूपः (viśvarūpaḥ) - universal form; प्राणः (prāṇaḥ) - life force; अग्निः (agniḥ) - fire; उदयते (udayate) - arises; तत् (tat) - that; एतत् (etat) - this; ऋचा (ṛcā) - by the verse; अभ्युक्तम् (abhyuktam) - is said;]
This Vaiśvānara, in its universal form, arises as the life force and fire. This is declared by the verse:
"विश्वरूपं करिणं जातवेदसं परायणं ज्योतिरेकं तपन्तम्। सहस्ररश्मिः शतधा वर्तमानः प्राणः प्रजानामुदयत्येष सूर्यः" ॥६॥
"viśvarūpaṃ kariṇaṃ jātavedasaṃ parāyaṇaṃ jyotirekaṃ tapantam। sahasraraśmiḥ śatadhā vartamānaḥ prāṇaḥ prajānāmudayatyeṣa sūryaḥ" ॥6॥
[विश्वरूपं (viśvarūpaṃ) - of universal form; करिणं (kariṇaṃ) - performing; जातवेदसं (jātavedasaṃ) - all-knowing; परायणं (parāyaṇaṃ) - supreme goal; ज्योतिरेकं (jyotirekaṃ) - one light; तपन्तम् (tapantam) - shining; सहस्ररश्मिः (sahasraraśmiḥ) - thousand-rayed; शतधा (śatadhā) - hundredfold; वर्तमानः (vartamānaḥ) - existing; प्राणः (prāṇaḥ) - life force; प्रजानाम् (prajānām) - of beings; उदयति (udayati) - rises; एषः (eṣaḥ) - this; सूर्यः (sūryaḥ) - sun;]
"The universal form, the performer, all-knowing, supreme goal is the one light that shines. The thousand-rayed, hundredfold existing life force of beings rises, this sun."

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
