Shaṭpraśnopaniṣat Bhāshya (षट्प्रश्नोपनिषद्भाष्यं)
Shat.Upa 01.04
स मिथुनमुत्पादयते। रयिं च प्राणं चेति। एतौ मे बहुधा प्रजाः करिष्यत इति। आदित्योह वै प्राणो रयिरेव चन्द्रमाः ॥४॥
sa mithunamutpādayate। rayiṃ ca prāṇaṃ ceti। etau me bahudhā prajāḥ kariṣyata iti। ādityoha vai prāṇo rayireva candramāḥ ॥4॥
[स (sa) - he; मिथुनम् (mithunam) - pair; उत्पादयते (utpādayate) - creates; रयिं (rayiṃ) - wealth; च (ca) - and; प्राणं (prāṇam) - life; च (ca) - and; इति (iti) - thus; एतौ (etau) - these two; मे (me) - my; बहुधा (bahudhā) - in many ways; प्रजाः (prajāḥ) - offspring; करिष्यत (kariṣyata) - will create; आदित्योः (ādityoḥ) - of the sun; वै (vai) - indeed; प्राणः (prāṇaḥ) - life; रयिः (rayiḥ) - wealth; एव (eva) - only; चन्द्रमाः (candramāḥ) - moon;]
He creates a pair, namely 'rayi', i.e. wealth, and 'prāṇa', i.e. life, signifying that these two will generate my offspring in various forms. The sun represents life, while the moon embodies wealth.
Bhāṣya 01.04
Entering them, Lord Vishnu himself, the unborn, does all creation.
स वायुं सूर्यनामानं चन्द्रनाम्नीं सरस्वतीम्। सूर्याचन्द्रगतौ देवः ससर्ज पुरुषोत्तमः। तावाविश्य स्वयं विष्णुः सर्वसृष्टीः करोत्यजः॥
sa vāyuṃ sūryanāmānaṃ candranāmnīṃ sarasvatīm। sūryācandragatau devaḥ sasarja puruṣottamaḥ। tāvāviśya svayaṃ viṣṇuḥ sarvasṛṣṭīḥ karotyajaḥ॥
[स (sa) - he; वायुं (vāyuṃ) - wind; सूर्यनामानं (sūryanāmānaṃ) - named Sun; चन्द्रनाम्नीं (candranāmnīṃ) - named Moon; सरस्वतीम् (sarasvatīm) - Saraswati; सूर्याचन्द्रगतौ (sūryācandragatau) - in the Sun and Moon; देवः (devaḥ) - the god; ससर्ज (sasarja) - created; पुरुषोत्तमः (puruṣottamaḥ) - the supreme person; तावाविश्य (tāvāviśya) - entering them; स्वयं (svayaṃ) - himself; विष्णुः (viṣṇuḥ) - Vishnu; सर्वसृष्टीः (sarvasṛṣṭīḥ) - all creation; करोति (karoti) - does; अजः (ajaḥ) - the unborn;]
He, the supreme god, created the wind named 'sūrya', and the cold named 'Saraswati' and made them enter the sun and the moon, respectively. Entering them, Lord Vishnu himself, the unborn, does all creation.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
