अपि प्रमादागतदोषलेशामिमां कवित्वश्रियमाद्रियध्वम्। बुधा विदग्धैः किमुपेक्षणीया पयोब्धिजा चञ्चलताख्यदोषात् ॥१०॥
api pramādāgatadoṣaleśām imāṃ kavitvaśriyam ādriyadhvam। budhā vidagdhaiḥ kim upekṣaṇīyā payobdhijā cañcalatākhyadoṣāt ॥10॥
[अपि (api) - indeed; प्रमादागत (pramādāgata) - arisen from negligence; दोषलेशाम् (doṣaleśām) - a trace of fault; इमाम् (imām) - this; कवित्वश्रियम् (kavitvaśriyam) - poetic glory; आद्रियध्वम् (ādriyadhvam) - You all revere!; बुधाः (budhāḥ) - wise ones; विदग्धैः (vidagdhaiḥ) - by the clever; किम् (kim) - why; उपेक्षणीया (upekṣaṇīyā) - should be neglected; पयोब्धिजा (payobdhijā) - born of the ocean (Lakṣmī); चञ्चलता (cañcalatā) - fickleness; आख्य (ākhya) - called; दोषात् (doṣāt) - due to the fault;]
Even if this poetic glory bears a slight flaw born of negligence, you should still revere it. Would the wise and discerning ever reject Lakṣmī, born of the ocean, merely because she is said to be fickle?
