Mundaka 4.12
हिरण्मये परे कोशे विरजं ब्रह्म निष्कलम्। तच्छुभ्रं ज्योतिषां ज्योतिः तद्यदात्मविदो विदुः ॥१२॥
hiraṇmaye pare kośe virajaṃ brahma niṣkalam। tacchubhraṃ jyotiṣāṃ jyotiḥ tadyadātmavido viduḥ ॥12॥
[हिरण्मये (hiraṇmaye) - in the golden; परे (pare) - supreme; कोशे (kośe) - sheath; विरजं (virajaṃ) - stainless; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; निष्कलम् (niṣkalam) - without parts; तत् (tat) - that; शुभ्रं (śubhraṃ) - pure; ज्योतिषां (jyotiṣāṃ) - of lights; ज्योतिः (jyotiḥ) - light; तत् (tat) - that; यत् (yat) - which; आत्मविदः (ātmavidaḥ) - knowers of the Ātmān; विदुः (viduḥ) - know;]
In the supreme golden sheath lies the stainless and indivisible Brahman, the pure light of all lights, known by the knowers of the Ātmān.
Bhāshya 4.12
This entity, who is eternally at the center of the universe, shines situated in the sun as well.
ब्रह्माण्डमध्यगो नित्यं तपत्येष रवौ स्थितः॥
brahmāṇḍamadhyago nityaṃ tapatyeṣa ravau sthitaḥ॥
[ब्रह्माण्ड (brahmāṇḍa) - universe; मध्य (madhya) - center; गः (gaḥ) - going; नित्यं (nityaṃ) - eternally; तपति (tapati) - shines; एषः (eṣaḥ) - this; रवौ (ravau) - in the sun; स्थितः (sthitaḥ) - situated;]
