Mundakōpanishad Bhāshya
Mundaka 4.03
तदेतक्षरं ब्रह्म स प्राणस्तदु वाङ्मनः। तदेतत् सत्यं तदमृतं तद् वेद्धव्यं सोम्य विद्धि ॥३॥
tadetakṣaraṃ brahma sa prāṇastadu vāṅmanaḥ। tadetat satyaṃ tadamṛtaṃ tad veddhavyaṃ somya viddhi ॥3॥
[तत् (tat) - that; एतत् (etat) - this; अक्षरम् (akṣaram) - imperishable; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; सः (saḥ) - he; प्राणः (prāṇaḥ) - life force; तत् (tat) - that; उ (u) - expressed; वाक् (vāk) - speech; मनः (manaḥ) - mind; तत् (tat) - that; एतत् (etat) - this; सत्यं (satyaṃ) - truth; तत् (tat) - that; अमृतम् (amṛtam) - immortal; तत् (tat) - that; वेद्धव्यम् (veddhavyam) - to be known; सोम्य (somya) - dear one; विद्धि (viddhi) - know;]
That imperishable essence is Brahman, encompassing life-force, speech, and mind. It is immortal, the ultimate truth, something to be realized, the dear one.
Bhāshya 4.03
The Lord Viṣṇu is called the 'prāṇa', i.e. life-force, as he is the lord of the life-force, he is called 'vāk' i.e. speech, as he is expressed by speech, he is called 'mano' i.e. mind, as he is expressed through thoughts. Such Lord Vishnu is the controller of all living beings.
"प्राणः प्रणयनाद्विष्णुः वक्तृत्वाद्वागुदीरितः। मनो मन्तृत्वतो विष्णुः सर्वजीवनियामकः॥"
"prāṇaḥ praṇayanādviṣṇuḥ vaktr̥tvādvāgudīritaḥ। mano mantr̥tvato viṣṇuḥ sarvajīvaniyāmakaḥ॥"
[प्राणः (prāṇaḥ) - he is called life-force; प्रणयनात् (praṇayanāt) - Lord of the life force; विष्णुः (viṣṇuḥ) - Viṣṇu; वक्तृत्वात् (vaktr̥tvāt) - from speaking; वाक् (vāk) - speech; उदीरितः (udīritaḥ) - is expressed; मनो (mano) - mind; मन्तृत्वतः (mantr̥tvataḥ) - from thinking; विष्णुः (viṣṇuḥ) - Viṣṇu; सर्व (sarva) - all; जीव (jīva) - living beings; नियामकः (niyāmakaḥ) - controller;]

इति शब्दनिर्णये॥
iti śabdanirṇaye॥
[इति (iti) - thus; शब्द (śabda) - word; निर्णये (nirṇaye) - in the decision;]
- stated thus in Shabdanirṇa, an ancient text on the decision of the word.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
