युञ्जीत प्रणवे चेतः प्रणवो ब्रह्म निर्भयम्। प्रणवे नित्ययुक्तस्य न भयं विद्यते क्वचित् ॥३॥
yuñjīta praṇave cetaḥ praṇavo brahma nirbhayam। praṇave nityayuktasya na bhayaṃ vidyate kvacit ॥3॥
[युञ्जीत (yuñjīta) - one should unite; (from root 'yuj', to join, unite; optative mood); प्रणवे (praṇave) - in the praṇava (sacred syllable Om); चेतः (cetaḥ) - the mind; (from 'cetas', mind, consciousness); प्रणवः (praṇavaḥ) - the praṇava (Om); ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; (the Absolute, ultimate reality); निर्भयम् (nirbhayam) - fearless; (nir- prefix meaning 'without', bhaya meaning 'fear'); प्रणवे (praṇave) - in the praṇava (Om); नित्ययुक्तस्य (nityayuktasya) - of one who is always united; (nitya - always, yukta - joined, sa - of); न (na) - not; भयम् (bhayam) - fear; विद्यते (vidyate) - exists; (from root 'vid', to be, to exist); क्वचित् (kvacit) - anywhere; (at any time, at any place);]
One should unite the mind in the praṇava (Om); the praṇava is Brahman and is fearless. For one who is always united with the praṇava, there is never any fear anywhere.
