Māndukya 3.06

मकारभावे प्राज्ञस्य मानसामान्यमुत्कटम्। मात्रासम्प्रतिपत्तौ तु लयसामान्यमेव च ॥६॥

makārabhāve prājñasya mānasāmānyam utkaṭam। mātrāsampratipattau tu layasāmānyam eva ca ॥6॥

[मकारभावे (makārabhāve) - staying in the sound of syllable 'ma'; प्राज्ञस्य (prājñasya) - of the Prajna form of the Lord (Lord that governs deep sleep); मानसामान्यम् (mānasāmānyam) - mental sameness; उत्कटम् (utkaṭam) - intense; मात्रासम्प्रतिपत्तौ (mātrāsampratipattau) - on the attainment of the measure (of sound); तु (tu) - but; लयसामान्यम् (layasāmānyam) - dissolution of the ordinary / universal state of absorption; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and;]

By staying in the sound of syllable 'Ma', one obtains the intense mental sameness of the Prajna form of the Lord. By attainment of that measure of the sound (Ma), indeed, there is the dissolution of the ordinary and universal state of absorption.
