विश्वो हि स्थूलभुक् नित्यं तैजसः प्रविविक्तभुक्। आनन्दभुक् तथा प्राज्ञस्त्रिधा भोगं निबोधत ॥९॥
viśvo hi sthūlabhuk nityaṃ taijasaḥ praviviktabhuk। ānandabhuk tathā prājñastridhā bhogaṃ nibodhata ॥9॥
[विश्वः (viśvaḥ) - the universal being; हि (hi) - indeed; स्थूलभुक् (sthūlabhuk) - gross eater; नित्यम् (nityam) - eternally; तैजसः (taijasaḥ) - the luminous one; प्रविविक्तभुक् (praviviktabhuk) - subtle eater; आनन्दभुक् (ānandabhuk) - bliss eater; तथा (tathā) - also; प्राज्ञः (prājñaḥ) - the wise one; त्रिधा (tridhā) - in three ways; भोगम् (bhogam) - experience; निबोधत (nibodhata) - understand;]
Understand, that he the Lord makes the being enjoy experience all the time in three ways: in the universal form, 'Viśva', consumes the gross, in the luminous form, 'Taijasa', consumes the subtle, and the wise one, 'Prājña', makes him experience bliss.
