महैतरेयोपनिषत् भाष्यम् (Mahaitarēyōpaniṣat Bhāshya)
Invocation
Lord Vishnu is the primordial sound (Om).
May my speech be established in my mind, and my mind be established in my speech; O manifest one, make me manifest, grow; make me fit for the Veda; may what I have heard not slip away from me; by this thought, day and night, I join; I shall speak the truth; may that protect me, may that protect the speaker; may it protect me, may it protect the speaker, may it protect the speaker.
Om, peace, peace, peace.

I take refuge in Lord of the Ramā (insentient principle), Nārāyaṇa (the all pervading one), whose form is the embodiment of all complete qualities, who is omniscient, infallible, and free from all faults; who is the direct overlord of prāṇa (life essence), of all sentient and insentient beings, the Supreme Lord.
