महैतरेयोपनिषत् भाष्यम् (Mahaitarēyōpaniṣat Bhāshya)
Invocation
॥hariḥ oṃ॥
Lord Vishnu is the primordial sound (Om).
vāṅ me manasi pratiṣṭhitā। mano me vāci pratiṣṭhitam। āvirāvīrma edhi। vedasya ma āṇīstha, śrutaṁ me mā prahāsīḥ। anenādhītenāhorātrān sandadhāmi। ṛtaṁ vadiṣyāmi , satyaṁ vadiṣyāmi , tanmāmavatu , tad vaktāramavatu , avatu mām , avatu vaktāram॥
May my speech be established in my mind; may my mind be established in my speech. Be manifest, be manifest to me. Be for me the bearer of the Veda; may what I have heard not abandon me. Through this study, I join days and nights. I shall speak what accords with right order; I shall speak truth. May that protect me; may that protect the speaker. May it protect me; may it protect the speaker.
॥oṃ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ śāntiḥ॥
Om, peace, peace, peace.

I take refuge in Lord of the Ramā (insentient principle), Nārāyaṇa (the all pervading one), whose form is the embodiment of all complete qualities, who is omniscient, infallible, and free from all faults; who is the direct overlord of prāṇa (life essence), of all sentient and insentient beings, the Supreme Lord.
nārāyaṇaṃ nikhilapūrṇaguṇaikadehaṃ sarvajñamacyutamapetasamastadoṣam। prāṇasya sarvacidacit parameśvarasya sākṣādadhīśvaramiyāṃ śaraṇaṃ rameśam॥
