2.2.13
nityo nityānāṃ cetanaścetanānāṃ eko bahūnāṃ yo vidadhāti kāmān। tamātmasthaṃ ye'nu paśyanti dhīrāsteṣāṃ śāntiḥ śāśvatī netareṣām ॥13॥
He is the eternal among the eternals, the conscious among the conscious beings, and the one who fulfils the desires of the many. The wise who perceive him within their own selves attain eternal peace, not others.
Bhāṣya 2.2.13
The individual being is merely a reflection of the supreme consciousness, truly independent Lord Hari. One must meditate on the Lord situated within, but meditating on him as non-distinct from individual beings results in ignorance.
cetanābhāsako jīvaḥ paramaścetano hariḥ। svatantratvāt svatantro hi naiva doṣeṇa lipyate॥
The individual being is merely a reflection of the supreme consciousness of the truly independent Lord Hari. Because of His independence, He is not touched by any faults."

- stated thus in the great Kaurma Purana.
sa eka eva sarvabhūtāntarātmā। tasya rūpaṃ rūpaṃ pratirūpākhyo jīvo babhūva। bahiścāsau paramātmano nitarāṃ bhinnaḥ। paratantratvāt।
He is the sole Inner-Ātmān of all beings. His various forms, known as the reflections, became individual being. Externally, he, the individual being, is entirely distinct from the Supreme Being, due to his dependence.
"ātmaivedamagra āsīt" ityādivat anāditvāpekṣayā।
The statement like "The Ātmān alone was there in the beginning" - are said referring to the concept of eternality.
"ātmanisthaṃ hariṃ jānan mucyate nātra saṃśayaḥ। jīvaikyena tu taṃ dhyāyanjā tamasyandhe pated dhruvam॥"
"There is no doubt that one who knows Lord Hari and is established in the Ātmān is liberated. However, meditating on him with non-distinction among individual beings is born in darkness and will certainly fall into blindness."
