2.2.12

एको वशी सर्वभूतान्तरात्मा एकं रूपं बहुधा यः करोति। तमात्मस्थं येऽनु पश्यन्ति धीरास्तेषां सुखं शाश्वतं नेतरेषाम् ॥१२॥

eko vaśī sarvabhūtāntarātmā ekaṁ rūpaṁ bahudhā yaḥ karoti। tamātmasthaṁ ye'nu paśyanti dhīrāsteṣāṁ sukhaṁ śāśvataṁ netareṣām ॥12॥

[एकः (ekaḥ) - one; वशी (vaśī) - the controller; सर्व (sarva) - all; भूत (bhūta) - beings; अन्तरात्मा (antarātmā) - Inner-Ātmān; एकं (ekaṁ) - one; रूपं (rūpaṁ) - form; बहुधा (bahudhā) - in many ways; यः (yaḥ) - who; करोति (karoti) - does; तम् (tam) - him; आत्मस्थं (ātmasthaṁ) - situated in the self; ये (ye) - who; अनु (anu) - after; पश्यन्ति (paśyanti) - see; धीराः (dhīrāḥ) - wise; तेषां (teṣāṁ) - their; सुखं (sukhaṁ) - happiness; शाश्वतं (śāśvataṁ) - eternal; न (na) - not; इतर (itara) - others; एषाम् (eṣām) - of them;]

The One who is the controller and the Inner-Ātmān of all beings manifests in various forms. The wise who perceive him within themselves attain eternal happiness, and not others.
