2.2.11
Just as the sun, which is the eye of the world, remains unaffected by the external impurities of the eyes, similarly, the Inner-Ātmān of all beings remains untouched by the external sorrows of the world.
Bhāṣya 2.2.11
The inner-vision is the deity, whereas the outer vision lacks consciousness. Similarly, the Supreme Being remains independent of living entities, and is untouched by the miseries of the dependent being.
"Just as the Sun is the deity of the inner-eye, and his reflection is external. Thus, the inner-eye remains unaffected by the faults of the external-eye.
The inner-vision is the deity, whereas the outer vision lacks consciousness. Similarly, the Supreme Being remains independent of living entities, and is untouched by the miseries of the dependent being."
