Īśā.Bhāshya 01
This universe is incapable of engaging in action on its own, Hence it belongs to the Lord. Therefore, one should enjoy only what is given.
The word 'īśāvāsyam', i.e. the lord's, is that which is fit for the dwelling of the Lord. The word 'jagatyām' means 'prakrti', i.e. the insentient, or the presiding deity of the insentient. The word 'tena', i.e. by the Lord. The word 'tyaktena' is used to mean 'given by', to enjoy.
"Because this universe is incapable of engaging in action on its own, it belongs to the Lord. The tendency to act is dependent on insentient Prakrti and He is the lord of that insentient Prakrti as well. Indeed, including the tendency to act, everything is under His control only. Therefore, one should enjoy only what is given by Him and not covet from others."
