Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 11.34
You kill these Droṇa, Bhīṣma, Jayadratha, Karṇa, and other heroic warriors whom I have already slain. Fight, do not be distressed, you shall definitely conquer your rivals in battle.
Gīta Tātparya 11.34
Jayadratha is specially mentioned because of the boon from his father. The word 'nihatāḥ' in the context means 'mostly slain'. Afterwards, standing within Arjuna, He indeed will slay them.
The distinction is only due to the boon of Jayadratha’s father. The word 'nihatāḥ' in the context means 'mostly slain'. Afterwards, standing within Arjuna, He indeed will slay them.
