Bhagavad Gīta Tātparya
B.G 2.62 and 63
ध्यायतो विषयान् पुंसः सङ्गस्तेषूपजायते। सङ्गात् सञ्जायते कामः कामात् क्रोधोऽभिजायते॥६२॥
क्रोधाद्भवति सम्मोहः सम्मोहात् स्मृतिविभ्रमः। स्मृतिभ्रंशाद् बुद्धिनाशो बुद्धिनाशात् प्रणश्यति ॥६३॥
dhyāyatō viṣayān puṁsaḥ saṅgastēṣūpajāyatē। saṅgāt sañjāyatē kāmaḥ kāmāt krōdhō'bhijāyatē॥62॥
krōdhādbhavati sammōhaḥ sammōhāt smr̥tivibhramaḥ। smr̥tibhraṁśād buddhināśō buddhināśāt praṇaśyati ॥63॥

dhyāyatō = when dwelled on; viṣayān = material topics; puṁsaḥ = person; saṅgaḥ = attachement; tēṣu = in them; upajāyatē = develops; saṅgāt = from that attachment; sañjāyatē = springs; kāmaḥ = desire; kāmāt = from that desire; krōdhaḥ = anger; abhijāyatē = comes forth;]
[क्रोधात् भवति सम्मोहः सम्मोहात् स्मृति विभ्रमः। स्मृतिभ्रंशाद् बुद्धिनाशो बुद्धिनाशात् प्रणश्यति॥
krōdhāt = from anger; bhavati =becomes; sammōhaḥ = inability to discriminate; sammōhāt = from indiscrimination; smr̥ti vibhramaḥ = distortion of memory; smr̥tibhraṁśād = from the distorted memory; buddhināśō = destruction of knowledge; buddhināśāt = from destruction of knowledge; praṇaśyati = he perishes; ]
When the person dwells on material topics, he develops attachment in them. From attachment springs desire. From that desire comes forth the anger. Anger results in the inability to discriminate. Loss of discrimination results in the distortion of memory. The distorted memory destroys the knowledge. He perishes from the destruction of knowledge.
Gīta Tātparya 2.62 and 63
'saṁmōhā' - means wrong knowledge
संमोहात् मिथ्याज्ञानात् । ज्ञातमपि अन्यथा स्मर्यते। वाक्यार्थानामन्यथा स्मरणात् निर्णीतं ज्ञानमपि नश्यति ॥ ६२,६३ ॥
saṁmōhāt mithyājñānāt । jñātamapi anyathā smaryatē vākyārthānāmanyathā smaraṇāt nirṇītaṁ jñānamapi naśyati ॥ 62,63 ॥
[saṁmōhāt = 'saṁmōhāt' means; mithyājñānāt = wrong knowledge; jñātamapi = even after understanding; anyathā smaryatē = thinking otherwise; vākyārthānāmanyathā = the meaning of sentences, because of others; smaraṇāt = remembering; nirṇītaṁ jñānamapi = knowledge to discriminate; naśyati = is destroyed;]
'saṁmōhāt' - means wrong knowledge, i.e. even after understanding thinking otherwise. Because of mind's attention on something else, knowledge to decipher the meaning of the sentence is lost.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
