B.G 16.20
आसुरीं योनिमापन्ना मूढा जन्मनि जन्मनि। मामप्राप्यैव कौन्तेय ततो यान्त्यधमां गतिम् ॥२०॥
āsurīṁ yonim āpannā mūḍhā janmani janmani। mām aprāpyaiva kaunteya tato yānty adhamāṁ gatim ॥20॥
[आसुरीम् (āsurīm) - demonic; योनिम् (yonim) - womb; आपन्नाः (āpannāḥ) - attained; मूढाः (mūḍhāḥ) - deluded; जन्मनि (janmani) - birth after birth; जन्मनि (janmani) - birth after birth; माम् (mām) - Me; अप्राप्य (aprāpya) - without attaining; एव (eva) - certainly; कौन्तेय (kaunteya) - O son of Kunti; ततः (tataḥ) - then; यान्ति (yānti) - go; अधमाम् (adhamām) - to the lowest; गतिम् (gatim) - destination;]
O son of Kunti, those deluded beings attaining demonic wombs, birth after birth, failing to reach Me, descend to the lowest destination.
Gīta Tātparya 16.20
The innate nature of beings as gods, demons, and humans is inherent since time immemorial and cannot be altered by anyone, anywhere. Those of a divine nature need not lament, though overwhelmed temporarily. They are dear to Hari and worthy of liberation.
"देवासुरनरत्वाद्या जीवानां तु निसर्गतः। निसर्गो नान्यथैतेषां केनचित् क्वचिदेव वा॥"
"devāsuranaratvādyā jīvānāṃ tu nisargataḥ। nisargo nānyathaiteṣāṃ kenacit kvacideva vā॥
[देव (deva) - god; असुर (asura) - demon; नरत्व (naratva) - humanity; आद्य (ādya) - beginning; जीवानाम् (jīvānām) - of beings; तु (tu) - but; निसर्गतः (nisargataḥ) - by nature; निसर्गः (nisargaḥ) - since creation; न (na) - not; अन्यथा (anyathā) - otherwise; एतेषाम् (eteṣām) - of these; केनचित् (kenacit) - by anyone; क्वचित् (kvacit) - anywhere; एव (eva) - indeed; वा (vā) - or;]

देवाः शापबलादेव प्रह्लादादित्वमागताः। अतः पुनश्च देवत्वं ते यान्ति निजमेव तु॥
devāḥ śāpabalādeva prahlādāditvamāgatāḥ। ataḥ punaśca devatvaṃ te yānti nijameva tu॥
[देवाः (devāḥ) - gods; शापबलात् (śāpabalāt) - by the power of a curse; एव (eva) - indeed; प्रह्लादादित्वम् (prahlādāditvam) - state of being Prahlāda; आगताः (āgatāḥ) - have come; अतः (ataḥ) - therefore; पुनः (punaḥ) - again; च (ca) - and; देवत्वम् (devatvam) - divinity; ते (te) - they; यान्ति (yānti) - attain; निजम् (nijam) - own; एव (eva) - indeed; तु (tu) - but;]
(The gods, by the power of a curse, indeed have come to the state of being Prahlāda. Therefore, they again attain their own divinity, indeed, but.)
Though belonging to gods, due to the power of a curse, took on the form of Prahlāda. But indeed, they, i.e. gods, will once again regain their divine status.
हेतुतः सोऽन्यथाभावो रक्तता स्फटिके यथा। ततो नित्यश्च नाप्येषः स्वभावविनिवर्तकः। किञ्त्वाक्रम्यैव तं तिष्ठेद्देवसर्गः ततो हि सः। अशोच्य एव विज्ञेयो मोक्षयोग्यो हरेः प्रियः॥
hetutaḥ so'nyathābhāvo raktatā sphaṭike yathā। tato nityaśca nāpyeṣaḥ svabhāvavinivartakaḥ। kiñtvākramyaiva taṃ tiṣṭheddevasargaḥ tato hi saḥ। aśocya eva vijñeyo mokṣayogyo hareḥ priyaḥ॥
[हेतुतः (hetutaḥ) - due to cause; सः (saḥ) - he; अन्यथा (anyathā) - otherwise; भावः (bhāvaḥ) - state; रक्तता (raktatā) - redness; स्फटिके (sphaṭike) - in crystal; यथा (yathā) - as; ततः (tataḥ) - then; नित्यः (nityaḥ) - eternal; च (ca) - and; न (na) - not; अपि (api) - also; एषः (eṣaḥ) - this; स्वभाव (svabhāva) - nature; विनिवर्तकः (vinivartakaḥ) - cannot be truned back; किञ्तु (kiñtu) - but; आक्रम्य (ākramya) - by overcoming; एव (eva) - indeed; तम् (tam) - him; तिष्ठेत् (tiṣṭhet) - remains; देवसर्गः (devasargaḥ) - divine creation; ततः (tataḥ) - then; हि (hi) - indeed; सः (saḥ) - he; अशोच्यः (aśocyaḥ) - not to be lamented; एव (eva) - indeed; विज्ञेयः (vijñeyaḥ) - to be known; मोक्षयोग्यः (mokṣayogyaḥ) - worthy of liberation; हरेः (hareḥ) - of Hari; प्रियः (priyaḥ) - dear;]
As redness in the crystal is due to external cause, similarly continuous and eternal is this innate nature and cannot be turned around. Though overwhelmed, he need not lament, as he has remained with divine nature continuously since creation. Indeed, he is dear to Hari and worthy of liberation."
