Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 6.44
पूर्वाभ्यासेन तेनैव ह्रियते ह्यवशोऽपि सः। जिज्ञासुरपि योगस्य शब्दब्रह्मातिवर्तते ॥४४॥
pūrvābhyāsena tenaiva hriyate hyavaśo'pi saḥ। jijñāsurapi yogasya śabdabrahmātivartate ॥44॥
[पूर्व अभ्यासेन तेन एव ह्रियते हि अवशः अपि सः। जिज्ञासुः अपि योगस्य शब्द ब्रह्म अतिवर्तते॥
पूर्व-अभ्यासेन (pūrva-abhyāsena) - by the previous practice; तेन (tena) - by that; एव (eva) - indeed; ह्रियते (hriyate) - is carried; हि (hi) - indeed; अवशः (avaśaḥ) - helpless / involuntarily; अपि (api) - even; सः (saḥ) - he; जिज्ञासुः (jijñāsuḥ) - one who is inquisitive; अपि (api) - even; योगस्य (yogasya) - of yoga; शब्द-ब्रह्म (śabda-brahma) - the Vedic rituals; अतिवर्तते (ativartate) - transcends;]
Such a person is involuntarily drawn to Yoga by the previous practice, becomes inquisitive about it and transcending the bounds of Vedic rituals.
Gīta Bhāshya 6.44
One who is inquisitive and has a strong desire to know Yoga finally transcends the bounds of Vedic rituals and attains the supreme Brahman.
योगस्य जिज्ञासुरपि, ज्ञातव्यो मया योगः इति यस्य अतीव इच्छा सोऽपि शब्दब्रह्म अतिवर्तते परं ब्रह्म प्राप्नोति इत्यर्थः ॥ ४४ ॥
yogasya jijñāsurapi, jñātavyo mayā yogaḥ iti yasya atīva icchā so'pi śabdabrahma ativartate paraṁ brahma prāpnoti ityarthaḥ ॥ 44 ॥
[योगस्य (yogasya) - of yoga; जिज्ञासुः (jijñāsuḥ) - one who is inquisitive; अपि (api) - even; ज्ञातव्यः (jñātavyaḥ) - to be known; मया (mayā) - by me; योगः (yogaḥ) - yoga; इति (iti) - thus; यस्य (yasya) - whose; अतीव (atīva) - great; इच्छा (icchā) - desire; सः (saḥ) - he; अपि (api) - even; शब्दब्रह्म (śabda-brahma) - the Vedic rituals; अतिवर्तते (ativartate) - transcends; परं (param) - the supreme; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; प्राप्नोति (prāpnoti) - attains; इति (iti) - thus; अर्थः (arthaḥ) - meaning;]
The phrase 'yogasya jijñāsurapi' means, the one who is inquisitive and has a strong desire, "Yoga is to be known by me". Such a person transcends the bounds of Vedic rituals and attains the supreme Brahman - is the meaning.
Gīta Tātparya 6.44
Gradation of those who pursue Yoga is in the following order: a mere reader, one who is inquisitive, one who knows, and then one who abides in it.
"मोक्षोपायस्य जिज्ञासुरपि केवलपाठकात् विशिष्टः। किमु तद्विद्वान् किं पुनः यस्तदास्थितः॥"
"mokṣopāyasya jijñāsurapi kevalapāṭhakāt viśiṣṭaḥ। kimu tadvidvān kiṁ punaḥ yastadāsthitaḥ॥"
[मोक्षोपायस्य (mokṣopāyasya) - of the means to liberation; जिज्ञासुः (jijñāsuḥ) - one who is inquisitive; अपि (api) - even; केवलपाठकात् (kevala-pāṭhakāt) - than a mere reader; विशिष्टः (viśiṣṭaḥ) - is distinguished; किमु (kimu) - how much more; तद्विद्वान् (tadvidvān) - one who knows it; किं पुनः (kiṁ punaḥ) - how much more indeed; यः (yaḥ) - who; तदास्थितः (tadāsthitaḥ) - abides in it;]
"The one who is inquisitive about the means of liberation is more distinguished than a mere reader. How much more so, then, is one who knows it? And how much more indeed is one who abides in it?"
इति परमयोगे ॥४४॥

"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
