Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya

B.G 17.15

अनुद्वेगकरं वाक्यं सत्यं प्रियहितं च यत्। स्वाध्यायाभ्यसनं चैव वाङ्मयं तप उच्यते ॥१५॥

anudvegakaraṁ vākyaṁ satyaṁ priyahitaṁ ca yat। svādhyāyābhyasanaṁ caiva vāṅmayaṁ tapa ucyate ॥15॥

[अनुद्वेगकरं (anudvegakaram) - non-agitating; वाक्यं (vākyam) - speech; सत्यं (satyam) - truthful; प्रियहितं (priyahitam) - pleasing and beneficial; च (ca) - and; यत् (yat) - which; स्वाध्यायाभ्यसनं (svādhyāyābhyasanam) - self-study and practice; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; वाङ्मयं (vāṅmayam) - verbal; तपः (tapaḥ) - austerity; उच्यते (ucyate) - is called;]

Speech that does not cause agitation, is truthful, pleasing, and beneficial, along with the self-study and practice, is considered verbal austerity.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
