Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 17.05 and 06
Know these foolish people to be certainly of demonic resolve, who endowed with hypocrisy, egoism, desire, attachment, and strength, perform terrible austerities not enjoined by the scriptures, tormenting the group of elements in the body and Me also situated within the body.
Gīta Bhāshya 17.05 and 06
The phrase 'karśayantaḥ śarīrastham' i.e. tormenting the body, implies having a limited perspective on the Lord within. The usage 'āsuraniścayāḥ' shows their definitive demonic nature. The gods are possessed with goodness, whereas the demons are characterized by the modes of passion and ignorance.
The phrase 'karśayantaḥ śarīrastham' i.e. tormenting the body, implies having a limited perspective on the Lord.
"The observer who does not perceive the greatness of the supreme personality is a 'karśakaḥ' i.e. tormentor, and is very sinful."
- stated thus in the Anabhimlāna Vedic testimonial.
The usage 'āsuraniścayāḥ' shows their definitive demonic nature.
"The gods are described as being in the mode of goodness, whereas the demons are characterized by the modes of passion and ignorance."
- stated thus in the Agnivesha Vedic testimonial.
Gīta Tātparya 17.05 and 06
Those who act not recognizing the presence of Lord Vishnu in every being are certainly of demonic resolve. The phrase "Om Tat Sat" is recognized as the threefold name of Vishnu. The action that is done without selfish intention is considered to be established in Brahman, and it always spreads by its own qualities. All scriptures are composed for the purpose of fostering devotion to Vishnu.
People who engage in severe austerities not prescribed by the scriptures, driven by hypocrisy and ego, and filled with desire, attachment, and strength, who worship those gods like Lakshmi, but consider Lord Vishnu, who is present in all bodies as trivial. Because of their insignificant qualities and imaginations, they inevitably fall into darkness. They are recognized as demons, ghosts, or ogres.
These men are generally known by their food and sacrifices; the Saatvik make others Saatvik, while others do the same to others.
"The phrase "Om Tat Sat" is recognized as the threefold name of Vishnu in Vedic tradition, signifying that actions are indeed connected to the essence of truth. There, an act done without faith is indeed called unreal. It is from this that the Brahmins, Vedas, and sacrifices are interwoven together. Vishnu established it, and thus he is praised as Vishnu. Therefore, Vedic rituals and sacrifices are conducted in this manner. Indeed, actions not preceded by the sacred syllable 'Om' may be considered demonic. Even if actions are preceded by 'Om', without a proper understanding of its significance, they may still be deemed demonic.
The fruit of action performed without (selfish) intention may be considered as Brahman, my abode. Thus, O Janardana, the action that is done without (selfish) intention is named as such, and it is said to be always spread by its own qualities."
- And so on.
Even if something is prescribed by the scriptures, if it is done without faith, it is considered unreal. It will be said as 'offered without faith'. Due to the lack of faith in the Lord, it becomes something not prescribed by the scriptures.
"All scriptures are composed for the purpose of fostering devotion to Vishnu."
- stated thus in the Paingi Vedic testimonial.

"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
