Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 17.02
श्रीभगवानुवाच
Auspicious Lord said:
त्रिविधा भवति श्रद्धा देहिनां सा स्वभावजा। सात्त्विकी राजसी चैव तामसी चेति तां शृृणु ॥२॥
Threefold is the faith of the embodied, born of their innate nature — sāttvik i.e. goodness, rājasīk i.e. passionate, and tāmasik i.e. ignorant. Hear of it.
Gīta Bhāshya 17.02
The faith of those ignorant of scriptures is explained starting from the 'trividhā' verse.
अतो विभज्याह- त्रिविधेत्यादिना ॥२॥
Therefore (the faith of those ignorant of scriptures), he explained by dividing into three categories, starting with 'trividhā' verse.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
