Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 9.15
ज्ञानयज्ञेन चाप्यन्ये यजन्तो मामुपासते। एकत्वेन पृथक्त्वेन बहुधा विश्वतोमुखम् ॥१५॥
jñānayajñena cāpyanye yajanto māmupāsate। ekatvena pr̥thaktvena bahudhā viśvatomukham ॥15॥
[ज्ञानयज्ञेन (jñānayajñena) - with the sacrifice of knowledge; च (ca) - and; अपि (api) - also; अन्ये (anye) - others; यजन्तः (yajantaḥ) - worshipping; माम् (mām) - Me; उपासते (upāsate) - engage in devotion; एकत्वेन (ekatvena) - with a sense of the one who alone is present everywhere; पृथक्त्वेन (pṛthaktvena) - with a sense of different from all others; बहुधा (bahudhā) - in many forms; विश्वतःमुखम् (viśvataḥmukham) - as the face of the Universe;]
Others too, worship Me through the sacrifice of knowledge, viewing Me as the only one (present everywhere), as different (from all others), and in manifold forms as the face of the Universe.
Gīta Bhāshya 9.15
'ekatvena' - the one who alone is present everywhere. 'pṛthaktvena' - different from all others. 'bahudhā' - refers to different ways of worship as indicated in 4-25.
सर्वत्रैक एव नारायणः स्थित इति एकत्वेन। पृथक्त्वेन सर्वतो वैलक्षण्येन।
sarvatraika eva nārāyaṇaḥ sthita iti ekatvena। pr̥thaktvena sarvato vailakṣaṇyena।
[सर्वत्र (sarvatra) - everywhere; एकः (ekaḥ) - one; एव (eva) - indeed; नारायणः (nārāyaṇaḥ) - Nārāyaṇa; स्थितः (sthitaḥ) - is present; इति (iti) - thus; एकत्वेन (ekatvena) - in the sense of oneness; पृथक्त्वेन (pṛthaktvena) - in the sense of distinctness; सर्वतः (sarvataḥ) - in all ways; वैलक्षण्येन (vailakṣaṇyena) - with distinction;]
Nārāyaṇa alone is present everywhere — this is the sense of 'ekatva'; The word 'pṛthaktvena' is the sense of different from all others.
"बहुधा हि तस्य रूपं आभाति। शुक्लमिव लोहितमिव अथो नीलमथोऽर्जुनम्॥"
"bahudhā hi tasya rūpaṁ ābhāti। śuklamiva lohitamiva atho nīlamatho'rjunam॥"
[बहुधा (bahudhā) - in many ways; हि (hi) - indeed; तस्य (tasya) - of Him; रूपम् (rūpam) - form; आभाति (ābhāti) - appears; शुक्लम् (śuklam) - white; इव (iva) - like; लोहितम् (lohitaṁ) - red; इव (iva) - like; अथ (atho) - or; नीलम् (nīlam) - blue; अथ (atho) - or; अर्जुनम् (arjunam) - gray;]
"His form indeed appears in many ways — like white, like red, or blue, or gray."
इति सनत्सुजातीये।
iti sanatsujātīye।
[इति (iti) - thus; सनत्सुजातीये (sanatsujātīye) - in the Sanatsujātīya (section of the Mahābhārata);]
- stated thus in the Sanatsujātīya (section of the Mahābhārata).
'दैवमेवापरे' इत्युक्तप्रकारेण बहवो वा बहुधा ॥१५॥
daivamevāpare' ityuktaprakāreṇa bahavo vā bahudhā ॥15॥
[दैवम् (daivam) - divine; एव (eva) - alone; अपरे (apare) - others; इत्युक्तप्रकारेण (ity-ukta-prakāreṇa) - in the manner just stated; बहवः (bahavaḥ) - many; वा (vā) - or; बहुधा (bahudhā) - in various ways;]
As stated in the verse 'daivamevāpare' (4-25), the word 'bahudhā' points to different ways of worship.
Gīta Tātparya 9.15
The lord is worshipped by the wise in multiple forms.
"एकमूर्तिः चतुर्मूर्तिरथवा पञ्चमूर्तिकः। द्वादशादिप्रभेदो वा पूज्यते सज्जनैर्हरिः॥"
"ekamūrtiḥ caturmūrtirathavā pañcamūrtikaḥ। dvādaśādiprabhedo vā pūjyate sajjanairhariḥ॥"
[एकमूर्तिः (ekamūrtiḥ) - one form; चतुर्मूर्तिः (caturmūrtiḥ) - four forms; अथवा (athavā) - or; पञ्चमूर्तिकः (pañcamūrtikaḥ) - with five forms; द्वादशादि (dvādaśādi) - twelve etc.; प्रभेदः (prabhedaḥ) - distinctions; वा (vā) - or; पूज्यते (pūjyate) - is worshipped; सज्जनैः (sajjanaiḥ) - by noble people; हरिः (hariḥ) - Hari (the Lord);]
"Hari is worshipped by noble souls as one form, four forms, or five forms, or with distinctions like twelve and so on."
इति च ॥१५॥

[इति (iti) - thus; च (ca) - and / as well;]
- stated thus as well.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
