B.Ab 2.04

स्वातन्त्र्यात् सर्वकर्तृत्वान्नायुक्तं तद्वदेच्छ्रुतिः। भ्रान्तिमूलतया सर्वसमयानामयुक्तितः ॥२-४॥

svātantryāt sarvakartṛtvānnāyuktaṃ tadvadecchrutiḥ। bhrāntimūlatayā sarvasamayānāmayuktitaḥ ॥2-4॥

[स्वातन्त्र्यात् (svātantryāt) - from independence; सर्वकर्तृत्वात् (sarvakartṛtvāt) - from universal agency; न (na) - not; युक्तं (yuktaṃ) - appropriate; तद्वत् (tadvat) - like that; इच्छ्रुतिः (icchrutiḥ) - the statement of will; भ्रान्तिमूलतया (bhrāntimūlatayā) - due to being based on delusion; सर्वसमयानाम् (sarvasamayānām) - of all doctrines; अयुक्तितः (ayuktitaḥ) - from lack of reason;]

Because of independence and universal agency (of the Lord), it is not appropriate to attribute opposing views, such as desire etc., as all such doctrines lack reasoning and are delusional. (2-4)
