यथोर्णनाभिः सृजते गृह्णते च यथा पृथिव्यामोषधयः सम्भवन्ति। यथा सतः पुरुषात् केशलोमानि तथाऽक्षरात् सम्भवतीह विश्वम् ॥७॥
yathorṇanābhiḥ sṛjate gṛhṇate ca yathā pṛthivyāmoṣadhayaḥ sambhavanti। yathā sataḥ puruṣāt keśalomāni tathākṣarāt sambhavatīha viśvam ॥7॥
[यथा (yathā) - just as; उर्णनाभिः (ūrṇanābhiḥ) - spider; सृजते (sṛjate) - creates; गृह्णते (gṛhṇate) - withdraws; च (ca) - and; यथा (yathā) - just as; पृथिव्याम् (pṛthivyām) - on earth; ओषधयः (oṣadhayaḥ) - plants; सम्भवन्ति (sambhavanti) - arise; यथा (yathā) - just as; सतः (sataḥ) - from the existent; पुरुषात् (puruṣāt) - from the person; केशलोमानि (keśalomāni) - hairs and body hair; तथा (tathā) - so; अक्षरात् (akṣarāt) - from the imperishable; सम्भवति (sambhavati) - arises; इह (iha) - here; विश्वम् (viśvam) - the universe;]
Just as a spider creates and withdraws its web, as plants grow on earth, and as hair grows from a living person, so does the universe arise from the imperishable.
