Just as fire enters the world and takes on different forms, the one inner Ātmān of all beings also manifests in various forms externally.
Bhāṣya 2.2.09
Just as the same fire cooks various dishes, that single Lord, inner Ātmān, cooks these unconscious fires, which are imitations of the divine.
"Just as the one fire, entering the world, appears in various forms and performs different functions like cooking, so do these unconscious fires, which are imitations of the divine, manifest in different forms."

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
