1.1.13

प्र ते ब्रवीमि तदु मे निबोध स्वर्ग्यमग्निं नचिकेतः प्रजानन्। अनन्तलोकाप्तिमथो प्रतिष्ठां विद्धि त्वमेतं निहितं गुहायाम् ॥१३॥

pra te bravīmi tadu me nibodha svargyam agniṁ naciketaḥ prajānan. anantalokāptim atho pratiṣṭhāṁ viddhi tvam etaṁ nihitaṁ guhāyām ॥13॥

[प्र (pra) - forth; ते (te) - to you; ब्रवीमि (bravīmi) - I speak; तत् (tat) - that; उ (u) - indeed; मे (me) - from me; निबोध (nibodha) - learn; स्वर्ग्यम् (svargyam) - heavenly; अग्निं (agniṁ) - fire; नचिकेतः (naciketaḥ) - O Naciketas; प्रजानन् (prajānan) - understanding. अनन्तलोकाप्तिम् (anantalokāptim) - attainment of infinite worlds; अथो (atho) - and; प्रतिष्ठाम् (pratiṣṭhām) - the foundation; विद्धि (viddhi) - know; त्वम् (tvam) - you; एतम् (etam) - this; निहितम् (nihitam) - placed; गुहायाम् (guhāyām) - in the secret (heart/cave).]

To you I declare—do learn this from me, O Naciketas, the heavenly fire, understanding which one attains infinite worlds and the firm foundation. Know this, placed within the secret cave (of the heart).

Bhāṣya 1.1.13

It is lord Vishnu, the foundation of all worlds, who dwells in all hearts.

"लोको विष्णोरनन्तस्य तज्ज्ञानान्नित्य आप्यते। प्रतिष्ठा सर्वलोकस्य स विष्णुः सर्वहृद्गतः॥"

loko viṣṇor anantasya taj-jñānān nitya āpyate. pratiṣṭhā sarvalokasya sa viṣṇuḥ sarvahṛd-gataḥ॥

[लोको (loko) - the world; विष्णोः (viṣṇoḥ) - of Viṣṇu; अनन्तस्य (anantasya) - of the infinite one; तज्ज्ञानात् (taj-jñānāt) - by the knowledge of him; नित्यः (nityaḥ) - eternal; आप्यते (āpyate) - is attained. प्रतिष्ठा (pratiṣṭhā) - foundation; सर्वलोकस्य (sarvalokasya) - of all worlds; सः (saḥ) - he; विष्णुः (viṣṇuḥ) - Viṣṇu; सर्वहृद्गतः (sarvahṛd-gataḥ) - dwelling in all hearts.]

"The world of the infinite Viṣṇu is eternally attained by the knowledge of him. He, Viṣṇu, the foundation of all worlds, dwells in all hearts."
