1.2.12
तं दुर्दर्शं गूढमनुप्रविष्टं गुहाहितं गह्वरेष्ठं पुराणम्। अध्यात्मयोगाधिगमेन देवं मत्वा धीरो हर्षशोकौ जहाति ॥१२॥
taṁ durdarśaṁ gūḍham anupraviṣṭaṁ guhāhitaṁ gahvareṣṭhaṁ purāṇam। adhyātmayogādhigamena devaṁ matvā dhīro harṣaśokau jahāti॥12॥
[तम् (tam) - him; दुर्दर्शम् (durdarśam) - difficult to see; गूढम् (gūḍham) - hidden; अनुप्रविष्टम् (anupraviṣṭam) - entered within; गुहा-हितम् (guhā-hitam) - placed in the cave (of the heart); गह्वरेष्ठम् (gahvareṣṭham) - abiding in the depths; पुराणम् (purāṇam) - ancient; अध्यात्म-योग-अधिगमेन (adhyātma-yoga-adhigamena) - through attainment by the yoga of the adhyātma, i.e. regarding the supreme essence; देवम् (devam) - the divine being; मत्वा (matvā) - having known; धीरः (dhīraḥ) - the steadfast one; हर्ष-शोकौ (harṣa-śokau) - joy and sorrow; जहाति (jahāti) - gives up;]
The steadfast one, having known that divine being — who is difficult to see, hidden, entered within, placed in the cave, abiding within the liberated beings, ancient — through the yoga of the adhyātma, i.e. Yoga regarding the supreme essence, gives up joy and sorrow.
Bhāṣya 1.2.12
'gahvare' - situated within the liberated beings.
गह्वरे मुक्तजीवे स्थितम्।
gahvare muktajīve sthitam।
[गह्वरे (gahvare) - in to depth; मुक्त-जीवे (mukta-jīve) - in the liberated beings; स्थितम् (sthitam) - situated;]
The word 'gahvare', i.e. entering into depths, implies situated within the liberated beings.
