Jayanti Nirnaya 11
उपसंहृत्य तत् सर्वं ब्रह्मचारी जितेन्द्रियः। विश्वायेति च मन्त्रेण ततः स्वापं समाचरेत् ॥११॥
upasaṁhr̥tya tat sarvaṁ brahmacārī jitēndriyaḥ। viśvāyēti ca mantrēṇa tataḥ svāpaṁ samācarēt ॥11॥
[upasaṁhr̥tya = withholding; tat sarvaṁ = everything; brahmacārī = observing celebecy; jitēndriyaḥ = with conqured senses; viśvāyēti ca mantrēṇa = by meditating on 'vishvaya' mantra; tataḥ = then; svāpaṁ = dream state; samācarēt = he practices;]
Then, meditating 'Vishvāya' mantra, withholding all desires, observing celibacy, with conquered senses, one should practice a dream state, i.e. go to sleep.
The 'Vishvāya' verse to be meditated before going to sleep:
विश्वाय विश्वपतये विश्वेश्वराय विश्वसंभवाय श्री गोविन्दाय नमो नमः॥
viśvāya viśvapatayē viśvēśvarāya viśvasaṁbhavāya śrī gōvindāya namō namaḥ॥
Obeisances to the universal form, to the master of the universal form, to the lord of the universal form, to one who makes the universal form possible; I bow to that lord Gōvinda repeatedly.
