Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 16.18
Those who resort to ego, strength, pride, desire, and anger, and who find fault with Me in their own and others' bodies, are envious.
Gīta Bhāshya 16.18
The phrase 'māmātmaparadeheṣu abhyasūyakāḥ' implies those who hold the view - "Vishnu does not act as the agent for anyone. If he truly is, then let him act upon me right now". Such people will surely go down.
The phrase 'māmātmaparadeheṣu abhyasūyakāḥ' i.e. those who find fault with Me in their own and others' bodies, implies they think:
"Viṣṇu does not act as the agent for anyone. If he truly is, then let him act upon me right now."
and so forth.
'If God is the cause of everything, he would compel me to act' - to the one who claims thus, he would respond, 'you will always go down'.
- indeed, it is stated thus in Yaska section of the Sāmaveda.
Thus ends the sixteenth chapter of the Śrī Bhagavad Gītā commentary composed by the revered teacher Ānandatīrtha Bhagavatpāda.
