B.G 13.31
यदा भूतपृथग्भावमेकस्थमनुपश्यति। तत एव च विस्तारं ब्रह्म सम्पद्यते तदा ॥३१॥
yadā bhūtapṛthagbhāvamekasthamanupaśyati। tata eva ca vistāraṃ brahma sampadyate tadā ॥31॥
[यदा (yadā) - when; भूत (bhūta) - beings; पृथग्भावम् (pṛthagbhāvam) - separate existence; एकस्थम् (ekastham) - one place; अनुपश्यति (anupaśyati) - sees; तत (tata) - then; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and; विस्तारम् (vistāram) - expansion; ब्रह्म (brahma) - Brahman; सम्पद्यते (sampadyate) - attains; तदा (tadā) - then;]
When one perceives the distinct existence of all beings in unison, at that moment, one attains the vastness of Brahman.
Gīta Bhāshya 13.31
'ekastham' - in one Lord Vishnu everything is situated. Such a perception results in understanding the vastness of Lord Viṣṇu.
एकस्थम् एकस्मिन् विष्णौ स्थितम्। तत एव च विष्णोः विस्तारम् ॥३१॥
ekastham ekasmin viṣṇau sthitam। tata eva ca viṣṇoḥ vistāram ॥31॥
[एकस्थम् (ekastham) - in one place; एकस्मिन् (ekasmin) - in one; विष्णौ (viṣṇau) - in Viṣṇu; स्थितम् (sthitam) - situated; तत (tata) - that; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and; विष्णोः (viṣṇoḥ) - of Viṣṇu; विस्तारम् (vistāram) - expansion;]
The word 'ekastham' means that in one Lord Vishnu everything is situated. From such a perception, indeed, stems the vastness of Viṣṇu.
Gīta Tātparya 13.31
He perceives all beings as dependent on Lord Vishnu. He observes the mutual gradation among beings, at the same time also sees the entire expanse of the Universe as that of Lord Vishnu.
"एकविष्ण्वाश्रितानां तु जीवानां भेदमेव यः। ततः परस्परं चैव तारतम्येन पश्यति। विष्णोरेव च विस्तारं जगतः स विमुच्यते॥"
"ekaviṣṇvāśritānāṃ tu jīvānāṃ bhedameva yaḥ। tataḥ parasparaṃ caiva tāratamyena paśyati। viṣṇoreva ca vistāraṃ jagataḥ sa vimucyate॥"
[एकविष्ण्वाश्रितानां (ekaviṣṇvāśritānāṃ) - of those who are solely dependent on Vishnu; तु (tu) - but; जीवानां (jīvānāṃ) - of the living beings; भेदम् (bhedam) - difference; एव (eva) - indeed; यः (yaḥ) - who; ततः (tataḥ) - then; परस्परम् (parasparam) - mutual; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; तारतम्येन (tāratamyena) - by gradation; पश्यति (paśyati) - sees; विष्णोः (viṣṇoḥ) - of Vishnu; एव (eva) - indeed; च (ca) - and; विस्तारम् (vistāram) - expansion; जगतः (jagataḥ) - of the universe; सः (saḥ) - he; विमुच्यते (vimucyate) - is liberated;]
"He perceives all beings as dependent on Lord Vishnu, though distinctions exist among them. He observes the mutual gradation among them, at the same time also sees the entire expanse of the Universe as that of Lord Vishnu and attains liberation."
