Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya

B.G 11.39

वायुर्यमोऽग्निर्वरुणः शशाङ्कः प्रजापतिस्त्वं प्रपितामहश्च। नमो नमस्तेऽस्तु सहस्रकृत्वः पुनश्च भूयोऽपि नमो नमस्ते ॥३९॥

You are wind, death, fire, Varuṇa, moon, Prajāpati, and great-grandfather. Salutations to you a thousand times; again and yet again, salutations to you.

Gīta Tātparya 11.39

All names primarily reflect the superior qualities that primarily apply to lord Hari. Secondarily, they are applied to other objects that have these qualities to an extent.

"वायुः बलज्ञानयोगात् शशाङ्कोऽतिसुखाङ्कितः। इन्द्रः स परमैश्वर्यादिति नानाभिधो हरिः॥"

"Hari is called Vāyu due to the union of strength and knowledge; 'śaśāṅka', i.e. moon, because he is marked by great delight; Indra due to supreme lordship. Thus, Hari is known by many names."

इति च ॥३९॥

- stated thus as well.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
