Gīta Bhāshya 11.36
The word “sthāne”, i.e. 'rightly', is indeed appropriate in the context of that which is about to be said, emphasizing the ability of Arjuna to grasp higher knowledge. 'Hṛṣīkeśa' - controller of the world.

The word “sthāne”, i.e. 'rightly', is indeed appropriate in the context of that which is about to be said. 'Hṛṣīkeśa' means the controller of the world through being the inner ruler of Agni, Soma, etc. “Keśa” refers to rays, and he is their controller. Evidence for this is in “śaśisūryanetram”, i.e. “moon and sun as eyes”. Lordship over the senses is established from “yaḥ prāṇe tiṣṭhan”, i.e. “who dwells in the prāṇa” etc., and the usage “na me hṛṣīkāṇi patantyasatpadhe”, i.e. “my senses do not fall to the wrong path”. Another meaning is established in Mokṣadharma:
"सूर्याचन्द्रमसौ शश्वत् केशैर्मे अंशुसञ्ज्ञितैः। बोधयन् स्थापयंश्चैव जगदुत्पद्यते पृथक्॥ बोधनात् स्थापनाच्चैव जगतो हर्षसम्भवात्। अग्नीषोमकृतैरेभिः कर्मभिः पाण्डुनन्दन। हृषीकेशो महेतानो वरदो लोकभावनः॥"
"sūryācandramasau śaśvat keśairme aṁśusañjñitaiḥ। bodhayan sthāpayaṁścaiva jagadutpadyate pṛthak॥ bodhanāt sthāpanāccaiva jagato harṣasambhavāt। agnīṣomakṛtairebhiḥ karmabhiḥ pāṇḍunandana। hṛṣīkeśo mahetāno varado lokabhāvanaḥ॥"
[सूर्याचन्द्रमसौ (sūryācandramasau) - the sun and moon; शश्वत् (śaśvat) - constantly; केशैः (keśaiḥ) - by rays; मे (me) - my; अंशुसञ्ज्ञितैः (aṁśusañjñitaiḥ) - named as rays; बोधयन् (bodhayan) - enlightening; स्थापयन् (sthāpayan) - establishing; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; जगत् (jagat) - the world; उत्पद्यते (utpadyate) - arises; पृथक् (pṛthak) - separately; बोधनात् (bodhanāt) - from enlightenment; स्थापनात् (sthāpanāt) - and establishment; च (ca) - and; एव (eva) - indeed; जगतः (jagataḥ) - of the world; हर्षसम्भवात् (harṣasambhavāt) - due to the arising of delight; अग्नीषोमकृतैः (agnīṣomakṛtaiḥ) - by the acts involving Agni and Soma; एभिः (ebhiḥ) - these; कर्मभिः (karmabhiḥ) - actions; पाण्डुनन्दन (pāṇḍunandana) - O son of Pāṇḍu; हृषीकेशः (hṛṣīkeśaḥ) - Hṛṣīkeśa; महेतानः (mahetānaḥ) - the great effulgent one; वरदः (varadaḥ) - granter of boons; लोकभावनः (lokabhāvanaḥ) - nourisher of the world;]
"The sun and moon, ever by my rays called “aṁśu”, enlighten and establish the world, which is thus born. From such enlightenment and establishment comes joy to the world. Through acts involving Agni and Soma, O son of Pāṇḍu, Hṛṣīkeśa, the great effulgent one, bestower of boons, is the nourisher of the world."
