Bhagavad Gīta Bhāshya and Tātparya
B.G 11.04
मन्यसे यदि तत् शक्यम् मया द्रष्टुम् इति प्रभो। योगेश्वर ततः मे त्वम् दर्शय आत्मानम् अव्ययम् ॥४॥
manyase yadi tat śakyam mayā draṣṭum iti prabho। yogeśvara tataḥ me tvaṁ darśaya ātmānam avyayam ॥4॥
[मन्यसे (manyase) - you think; यदि (yadi) - if; तत् (tat) - that; शक्यम् (śakyam) - possible; मया (mayā) - by me; द्रष्टुम् (draṣṭum) - to see; इति (iti) - thus; प्रभो (prabho) - O Lord; योगेश्वर (yogeśvara) - O Lord of Yoga; ततः (tataḥ) - then; मे (me) - to me; त्वम् (tvam) - you; दर्शय (darśaya) - show; आत्मानम् (ātmānam) - your self; अव्ययम् (avyayam) - imperishable.]
If you think that it is possible for me to see that, O Lord, then show me your imperishable self, O Lord of Yoga.
Gīta Bhāshya 11.04
How to meditate is taught in previous chapters. Lords 'svarūpa-sthitiḥ', i.e. established natural essence states, are described in this chapter. 'prabhuḥ', 'īśaḥ' - capable.
यथा श्रुते ध्यानं शक्यं तथा स्वरूपस्थितिः अनेन अध्यायेन उच्यते।
yathā śrute dhyānaṁ śakyaṁ tathā svarūpa-sthitiḥ anena adhyāyena ucyate।
[यथा (yathā) - as; श्रुते (śrute) - in the teaching; ध्यानम् (dhyānam) - meditation; शक्यम् (śakyam) - is possible; तथा (tathā) - so; स्वरूपस्थितिः (svarūpa-sthitiḥ) - established natural essence state; अनेन (anena) - by this; अध्यायेन (adhyāyena) - chapter; उच्यते (ucyate) - is stated.]
It is possible to meditate as taught (earlier), so too its 'svarūpa-sthitiḥ', i.e. established natural essence states are described in this chapter.
प्रभुः समर्थः -
prabhuḥ samarthaḥ -
[प्रभुः (prabhuḥ) - master; समर्थः (samarthaḥ) - capable.]
The word 'prabhuḥ' means capable.
"नास्ति तस्मात् परं भूतं पुरुषाद्वै सनातनात्।"
"nāsti tasmāt paraṁ bhūtaṁ puruṣād vai sanātanāt।"
[नास्ति (nāsti) - there is not; तस्मात् (tasmāt) - than him; परम् (param) - higher; भूतम् (bhūtam) - being; पुरुषात् (puruṣāt) - than the person; वै (vai) - indeed; सनातनात् (sanātanāt) - eternal.]
"Indeed, there is no being greater than that eternal person."
इति मोक्षधर्मे।
iti mokṣa-dharme।
[इति (iti) - thus; मोक्षधर्मे (mokṣa-dharme) - in the Mokṣa-dharma section.]
- stated thus in Mokṣa-dharma.
"प्रभुरीशः समर्थश्च"
"prabhuḥ īśaḥ samarthaḥ ca"
[प्रभुः (prabhuḥ) - master; ईशः (īśaḥ) - lord; समर्थः (samarthaḥ) - capable; च (ca) - and.]
"Master, lord, and capable."
इत्यभिधानम् ॥१-४॥
ity-abhidhānam ॥1–4॥
[इति (iti) - thus; अभिधानम् (abhidhānam) - declaration.]
- these are declared to be synonyms.

बहुचित्रजगद्बहुधाकरणात् परशक्तिरनन्तगुणः परमः ।
सुखरूपममुष्य पदं परमं स्मरतस्तु भविष्यति तत्सततम् ॥
"The one who has created this variegated vast universe with varied forms has infinite power and is of infinite auspicious qualities. He certainly bestows the highest state of bliss to those who meditate on his ever happy essence." -Dwādasha stōtra 4.3
